Well... "NOT hard" for anyone that traveled to/from Taylors Island along Rt. 16, a few years back.
What is hard to believe is that this photo was taken over three years ago...

Farmer, you got it. Sorry if there was confusion--I had considered mentioning that "Field" wasn't in the answer. If my last clue didn't help I was going to mention that.
I went to Gettysburg last week with my students. I had been there before, but this time we did the walk of Pickett's Charge, which was a program offered through the Park Service. It was incredible, and I would recommend it to anyone that wants to feel a connection to a key part of American history.
For those of you who know about the charge, the single tree on the horizon in the center of the picture is "The Angle," and the grove to the right of that is "The Copse."
It is incredible to think that 13,000 plus Confederates marched in formation over a mile under fire from 100 cannons. Because of that, it's no surprise that, even though the Union line at the trees was temporarily overrun, that the Confederate troops didn't have the numbers to exploit the breech.
I'm not trying to hash up a discussion about the Civil War or any of the complex causes, factors, or resolution. Instead, I just want to pay tribute to all of the Americans that shed blood there. Your first guesses prove that could be any field in any county. One of the reasons that this country has become and stayed great is that her sons and daughters are willing to stand up for what they believe in, even if it costs everything--during Pickett's Charge, many did just that.

Resisto are you looking for the name of the field or what happened there? Would you be referring to Pickets charge?
