This looks like the back yard of the brick house you have listed for sale on Choptank Terrace. Last house down on the right. The pier is down a fairly steep hill.
That is exactly right . Good job.

Wow that picture of Brooks Creek is awesome. I still can not figure out the exact location of where the pic. was taken from. I will pay more attention tomorrow on the way out of the creek.
I love this guessing game. It shows off our wonderful county and is a great way to pass time.

Gordy I work on the water and leave from Ragged Point Marina 6 days a week. You have me stumped on this one. Exactly where was the picture taken from?
That was taken from Cassons Neck and the sunset was off to the right.

Little Blackwater is probably right. Not sure. Now that I look a little closer, the face/mouth is wrong for a rock. Howerver, rockfish will travel in fresh/brackish water; some of the best I've caught were inside the mouth of the Blackwater River upwards of Snake Island.
Poncho, you're tricky. Nice picture, but, it could be rise or set, we don't know if you are facing east or west.

I don't think it's a hybrid, the markings run all the same direction. Hybrids typically have the markings in broken or non-symetric patterns. I'd say it's just a small Rockfish.
By the way, I love photographing sunsets. Stay tuned for a spectacular one, I'll need somebody to give the location. Poncho, this is a great thread you have created. Keep up the good work!!!

| Farmer, you got it right, now I am trying to determine what species it is? It came from the Blackwater River and I think it looks like a hybrid rock. What's your take on it?

Is it an alewife (bait fish) used by crab potters to bait their pots? The fish may have gotten on the bank after having died and being washed up by high tide.

| Yep, you found the squirrel. I believe it was the Delmarva Fox Squirrel. By the way, it was real. Try this: What type of fish and how did it get on land? Attachment: 100_1500.JPG (Downloaded 342 times)

| I believe there is a squirrel in the center of the pic. Unlike the pic of your dog, can't tell if it's real or stuffed. Don't see flash reflection in the eyes. But do count 3 ticks and 4 mosquitos on him. Last edited on Wed Oct 25th, 2006 02:25 pm by Farmer
