| OK Farmer, I've found a shot that may fool some of you. This game is not to guess the species of the tree or the tree's location. You have to guess what's in the tree. Look closely, I assure you it is there. Attachment: Delmarva Fox Squirrel.jpg (Downloaded 313 times)

Yes, that would be Michele at Dockside. The picture was taken at her going away party. She moved to Kansas.

| You got it--glad to see a local person knew where the Butterfly Garden is. I think some of the locals take those places that are so near to us for granted and rarely visit within our county to enjoy a day off.

Brannock's house is out by the Y.Mrs. Brannock just passed away, and their place is beautiful. The correct name is,"The Brannock Maratime Museum".The yard was always full of beautiful flowers in the summer and has cottages that people could stay in.I know ones who have visited our city and stayed there and enjoyed their place and their kindness.Mrs. Brannock will be missed and she was a great lady and an asset to this community!

| Pretty girl but don't know her Farmer. Thanks for the previous pic--new location for me to check out. I know Barry and he wouldn't hurt a flea (unless your intentions were to cause trouble). The pic I uploaded earlier was too easy, the girls got it right--Seller's Farm @ Vienna near bridge. Here's one to keep you guessing for awhile: Attachment: 100_1460.JPG (Downloaded 243 times)

I agree. Camera is up in the air so photo was shot from the Vienna bridge. If anyone finds out who released the Coyotes, tell them to come back and get them. We don't need them. Cator's Cove is on the north end of Taylors Island. After crossing the bridge, stay on Hoopers Neck road all the way until you come to intersection where you turn right and go about 1/2 mile and cove is on left. Beautifull view of what's left of James Island. Keep straight about 2 miles and you will come to water again where you will see beautiful huge house (see below) owned by Ray Schoenke, former Redskin player. Don't linger long here or caretaker Barry Smith (karate master)will come out to see what you are up to!!Attachment: MVC-005S.JPG (Downloaded 235 times) Last edited on Fri Oct 20th, 2006 09:44 pm by Farmer

| I believe you are wrong on the Blk/Wtr Refuge releasing the coyoty. Think about that--to control the siaka? Wouldn't they also feed on other wildlife? It is my guess that a private party released 2 or more just to cause trouble. Good research question. They are also seen in North Dorchester. Scraggly looking animals. Are you ready for a new photo? Here it is: Attachment: 100_1718.jpg (Downloaded 232 times)

| Caters cove is on Taylors Island. I also heard that the coyotes were released by refuge personel in an attempt to control the Sika deer population. Blackwater Refuge is not limited to just the property on Key Wallace Drive and Rt 335. Just to name a few places, they also own land on Buttons Neck road, Madison, Smithville road and Taylors Island. Coyotes have been seen in Church Creek, Woolford, and Madison.

I don't know about that the I seemed to remember reading that the coyote had been extending it range for several years. I know they have been in PA for about 15 years. So it could be no one is releasing them.

You are correct EasUrnShor!! Good job!! Now as far as the coyotes, it may have been Blackwater people, in any case, somebody put them here. They didn't get to Taylors Island on their own!!

I know a person that has a 100 acre farm in Bedford Pa. , he says about 7 years ago PA. released them up there, and from that the deer population has decreased. The Coyote usally attack the doe and fawn I guess it is easy prey for them , I hope it does not happen down here also. Rummor has it DNR did not release them but Blackwater did.

| While we're waiting on Poncho for another quiz, here's what should be an easy one. Your answer should include where the shot was taken from. Pardon my photography. I shoot mostly from the pick-up window. Attachment: MVC-002S.JPG (Downloaded 233 times)

| I check with DNR. They never released any coyotes in this area. At one time rumor was that black bears had been released in Dorchester. Another myth shot down.

May I ask what was the reason for the release of coyote I do not think they are endangered. Are coyote native to MD? Or is this another effort to control something stupid that was introduced years ago?
