Hi Wow21613 - thanks for responding.... I drove past the area of the 'road side trash dump fire' today. Yes, a hell of a mess. Yes, "Waste Management" should come back and clean up. Though some careless consumer may have been responsible for this mess, "Waste Management" has the civic responsibility, at this point, to do what's right. Clean it up!
I didn't see the mess later that day (i.e., Fri. afternoon), because I'm normally checking out what's happening on the other side of the road (T.W.'s property).
Anyway, Thanks for your response.

| The fire was at the corner of Rt 16 & Deep Point Road. If you had rode by there I'm sure you would have seen it. Trash is everywhere, Paper all blown into the woods. I am sure it was very difficult to clean that mess up, but I believe they could have done a much better job. Waste Management needs to step up and get back down there.

Farmer - Was the trash fire on Rt. 16? If so, where? I was in Madison Fri. afternoon. No mention of the fire. Not important, but curious....

Somebody evidently set out some trash for pick-up with smoldering material inside. I fortunately had my radio and was able to get Madison Fire Co. there within minutes.

I've got one for you--taken by an amature and e-mailed to me. He titles it "Bottoms Up". Since I will soon have my camera back, I will be sending in my own. (All you'll have to do is guess what state they were taken in :-)

Mother Earth, You are kidding right? I didn't view the joke as republican vs. democrat. The entire joke was about the Florida ballot situation. Al Gore has accomplished and worked for many very important things. He is to be respected by all .
The Florida ballot situation was the entire joke. PEACE

I won't comment on the global warming comments (I'm in too good of a mood for a political debate), but I wanted to point out that it might be more appropriate to say "elephant-eared" instead of donkey eared. He is a Republican after all.
LOL
P.S. Republicans, it was just a little joke. I myself am Republican, and mean no ill will to other Republicans or George W. Bush. Wear your elephant ears proudly!!

Gordy- You're opening sentence is "Here's a funny statement we can all laugh at"
Well, you're wrong. Not all of us. Al Gore is a man with many accomplishments, billions more than Bush ever made. If you think this is funny, you need to go to one of Al's 12 web sights and see what he has done for our Earth. You may be dead once this Earth burns to death due to global warming, but others will have to suffer due to our actions now. Bone-head-donkey-eared-lunatic George-Bee-otch-Bush sure hasn't helped the cause. Laugh at that statement now won't you...

Good one Farmer, Your conclusion about the whereabouts of that grader is the most logical... I stared at myself in a mirror and simply mumbled, DUH!!! Of courseā¦
I hope that it's use, speeds up the resurfacing of the road...

Remi Short for Remington. Actually it's my daughter's and her boyfriend's dog. She is another fine offspring from one of Mike Willey's dogs on Taylors Island.
She's actually 1/2 Lab and 1/2 Chessie
