| Great shot, Wetfoot. I always thought it looked more like a big taco chip than a sail.

| Great shot of the "sail". Never thouht it looked like a sail since it went up but no one asked my opinion nor did I volunteer any advice. Yes pk, Cambridge has always had tourist potential but seems like our county seat can't get its act together. The port was used for years and offered jobs yet for some reason it was closed. We've had plenty of opportunity to show the world how blessed we are with deep water access and beautiful beaches. Just same ol' same ol', "build more condos" they say and then "we can raise taxes on every homeowner" to pay for education etc. In time, maybe we will see some real growth, not residences, but job growth. It will not fall out of the sky however, we all need to push this county's economic director to get busy and our council to work with her if we are to see any monetary gains.

Thats a great picture.
When you come across the bridge it's not quite as great. A little strange looking. Sailwinds park has such great potential. How many couties have such a great "Gateway" for so many travelers. Yet nothing is done there. Just a big piece of material in the air.

DorCountyGirl, that shot of the egret should be framed and either kept or sold. Go to Michaels and buy a frame and some framing cardboard that has a least 2 neutral colors that are found inside the picture and make your main color and off white to give it some demension. You go Girl

| It was truely amazing. This big beautiful guy looked us in the eye from the pine tree. He was gazing down and we stopped and both said don't move. He had a fish in his talons and wanted to eat in peace. So he went to another tree not to far away.

Now, now pk, are you sure your previous post isn't a "bird" story? Sounds similar to all those "fish" stories I"ve been hearing about. Just kidding--if you say it is true, then it is true

| Wish I was able to take pic today. I could not move. Bald Eagle landed in pine tree above my head. Had fish in claw. Looked at me looked at fish, ............... Moved to next tallest tree and ate. Pretty amazing the sound and largest of these birds. Then a little humming bird cruzed in for the trumpet vine.

Concerning mystery butterfly, I been trying to identify it... No luck so far. I've "googled" and contacted a biology teacher/professor. The following is an email I received.
Bill (wetfoot),....."this is from my friend Phil who is "The Man" when it comes to North American insects. But, as he says, this appears to be a tropical butterfly and he knows little about them. Best guess is that this bad boy escaped from a collector in the area or from one of those butterfly exhibits often seen at zoos or museums. Sorry I can't be of more help...I tried. Perhaps a Google search will yield some results in identifying an expert in tropical butterflies. Give it a shot. Such sites often have a mechanism for uploading a photo for identification aid.

God Bless CHS71 We know where we came from, our families were in reverance of a spiritual belief before we had tvs, internet or bible thumpers.Remember getting up on Sunday Morning and going to Bounds Church as a kid ,we did this because it was fun ,at that time in my life preachers made it fun. I now have a 6 yr, old nephew who has fears of burning in hell because he watches a show on TV that does not fall under the guidelines of the Church that is parents used to attend.
