It looks like they're in an orchard of some kind...maybe apple trees??? They are lovely tho, aren't they.

Nice shot, Wetfoot.
I remember when I lived in Salisbury, having all the beach tourists come through on their way to OC. Down here, we have what the locals call "leaf peepers" who come down in the fall. Here's an example of what they come to see. Thousands of square acres of color....

He's still scared half out of his wits and glad to be alive!

While the vessel 'Dawn Raider' out of Marklys Marina in Essex, Md. was fishing for Striped Bass (also locally known as Rock Fish), this Great White was hooked in the mouth but only resisted slightly for 15 minutes before it came up alongside t he boat to have a look; long enough for one of the crew members to slip a rope a round it's tail!!! 'And that's when things heated up!!
.. The Shark took off towing the 42 foot fishing boat backwards through the water at about 7 Knots. Just like in JAWS, the boat was taking on water over the stern and the crew watched in horror as the shark would actually jump completely out of the water at times. This went on for an hour before the shark finally drowned. She weighed in at 1035 LBS. It is suspected she followed a weak El Nino current into local waters in search of food. Although mid 60 degree water is considered ideal for these sharks, the larger ones can tolerate water in the low 50s.

A digital single-lens reflex camera (digital SLR or DSLR) is a digital camera that uses an automatic mirror system and pentaprism or pentamirror to direct light from the lens through the viewfinder eyepiece.
The basic operation of a DSLR is as follows: for viewing purposes, the mirror reflects the light coming through the attached lens upwards at an approximately 90 degree angle. It is then reflected by the pentaprism to the photographer's eye. During exposure (when the photograph is taken), the mirror swings upward, and a shutter opens, allowing the lens to project light onto the image sensor .

I had a Fuji and loved it. Accidentally broke it and was talked into a Nikon this time around. It definitely has a learning curve, but I am amazed with it so far. I do need an additional zoom lens, though....slingblade says my birthday is coming. I love to take pictures, but I am still very, very armature, LOL.
Your pictures are great...I was wondering what you were shooting with, because they are always so wonderful!

 Wow, Wetfoot & Farmer... Your pics make me sooooo homesick. Born & raised in South Dorchester, but living in the mountains of NC for nearly 3 years now. Love the mountains, but really do miss the open water.
Came home for a visit in Sept and had to take some pics. My heart is definitely split betw Dorchester County, MD and Western North Carolina.

Farmer and law_girl428..... I love it..... GEE WILLAKERS.... so appropriate/so amazing. The WILLAKERS sign, crisp and clean, like never exposed to the fire.
Concerning camera, not Nikon... wetfoot happy with Canon... Nikon is of course an excellent camera. Canon is not really known as a camera company, but they make excellent lenses. Regardless their cameras are excellent, as well
