| The best solution is to leave one behind.... 1. Why would he need 3 bowling balls? 2. Why is he walking around such an area with bowling balls in the 1st place? 3. How does one carry 3 bowling balls in their hands? (really think about it) I think these are even better riddles!!! Inquiring minds want to know!!

You are right it would increase the weight
Farmer wrote:
Actually jugling won't solve it, due to gravity the ball falling will result in a weight geater than 10 lbs so when he catches it he will be over weight.
All he has to do is juggle the balls as he crosses...one will be in the air at all times, thus keeping him at 200 lbs.

A man weighing 180 lbs. carrying 3 bowling balls weighing 10 lbs. each, approaches a large ravine. The only way to cross is a bridge with a weight limit of 200 lbs. The ravine is to far to throw or roll the balls across. How can the man cross the ravine in only one trip, with all 3 bowling balls?

A man falls overboard and gets washed ashore on an island with nothing but sand. The island is 50 miles from the nearest land. He can't swim, the water's 100 feet deep, and the island has nothing to make a floatation device with. With no help from people, animals, fish, or machines he finds a way off the island.
How does he do it?

One of average intelligence finds three of them. If you spotted four, you're above average. If you got five, you can turn your nose at most anybody. If you caught six, you are a genius. There is no catch. Many people forget the "OF"'s. The human brain tends to see them as V's and not F's.

| Good job, Farmer. I got an email with that riddle also. Supposedly our brains do not process the word "of" and most people would have answered - 3.

A quick test of intelligence. Don't cheat! Because if you do, the test will be no fun.
There are no Tricks to the test. Read this sentence:
FINISHED FILES ARE THE RE-
SULT OF YEARS OF SCIENTIF-
IC STUDY COMBINED WITH
THE EXPERIENCE OF YEARS.
Now count aloud the F's in that sentence. Important, count them ONLY ONCE: do not go back and count them again. How many F's are there?????

Answer:
The stranger was a baby and the woman died in childbirth.

A man was shot to death while in his car. There were no powder marks on his clothing, which indicated that the gunman was outside the car. However, all the windows were up and the doors locked. After a close inspection was made, the only bullet-holes discovered were on the man's body.
How was he murdered?

The answer is NOTHING -
NOTHING is more powerful than God.
NOTHING is more evil than the Devil.
The poor have NOTHING.
The rich need NOTHING.
If you eat NOTHING you will die.

What is the word???
Believe it or not, 70% of elementary school children quizzed
solved the riddle, and only 17% of college age people figured it out. Good luck.
Don't move to the bottom unless you give up and want the answer..

| A grandfather clock chimes the appropriate number of times to indicate the hour, as well as chiming once at each quarter hour. If you were in another room and heard the clock chime just once, what would be the longest period of time you would have to wait in order to be certain of the correct time?

37 days. At the end of day one, the worm would be at the one foot mark. At the end of the 35th day the worm would be at the 35 foot mark. On the 36th day the worm travels from 35 feet to 39 feet but slips back to 36 feet at the end of the 36th day. On the 37th day, the worm travels up four feet from the 36th foot mark and is consequently out of the hole.

How much dirt is in a hole 6 feet wide x 4 feet long x 15 feet deep?
Clue: Dirt is measured in yards, not pounds.

A worm is at the bottom of a forty foot hole. It can crawl upwards at the rate of four feet in one day, but at night, it slips back three feet. At this rate, how long will it take the worm to crawl out of the hole?
