You are right Farmer --- Thanks

37 days. At the end of day one, the worm would be at the one foot mark. At the end of the 35th day the worm would be at the 35 foot mark. On the 36th day the worm travels from 35 feet to 39 feet but slips back to 36 feet at the end of the 36th day. On the 37th day, the worm travels up four feet from the 36th foot mark and is consequently out of the hole.

How much dirt is in a hole 6 feet wide x 4 feet long x 15 feet deep?

Clue: Dirt is measured in yards, not pounds.

A worm is at the bottom of a forty foot hole. It can crawl upwards at the rate of four feet in one day, but at night, it slips back three feet. At this rate, how long will it take the worm to crawl out of the hole?

A large truck is crossing a bridge 1 mile long. The bridge can only hold 14000 lbs, which is the exact weight of the truck. The truck makes it half way across the bridge and stops. A bird lands on the truck. Does the bridge collapse? Give a reason.

A 6-foot tall Magician had a water glass and was holding the glass above his head. He let it drop to the carpet without spilling a single drop of water.

How could he manage to drop the glass from a height of six feet and not spill a drop of water?

This is Gordy wrote: 75 people got 3 fruit correctly and 80 people  got all 4 correctly
Sorry Gordy ---Thank for your reply

The Answer: It is not possible to guess only three fruits correctly: the fourth fruit is then correct too! So nobody has guessed three fruits correctly and 123-43-39-31 = 10 people have guessed four fruits correctly.

In a contest, four fruits (an apple, a banana, an orange, and a pear) have been placed in four closed boxes (one fruit per box). People may guess which fruit is in which box. 123 people participate in the contest. When the boxes are opened, it turns out that 43 people have guessed none of the fruits correctly, 39 people have guessed one fruit correctly, and 31 people have guessed two fruits correctly.

The Riddle : How many people have guessed three fruits correctly, and how many people have guessed four fruits correctly?
