I heard last night that she is holding her own ........ she is responding when asked to squeeze someone's hand .....etc.
Physically , she has a long road ahead and hopefully each day will bring improvement ........

Still very critical but doctors are hopeful...undergoing numerous small surgeries to correct problems...still on ventilator and sedated to facilitate healing.  Please continue prayers.

I just heard about this accident today. The woman involved is a lovely person whose smile brightens any room she walks in. I worked with her many years ago but do not know her family. I understand there may be insurance issues and would appreciate information on where donations could be made.

I don't feel Islander did anything wrong & you need to back off her Choptanker.I for one ,appreciated it because I hadn't even heard about it.Islander,as promised PM'D me the information and as it turned out,I KNOW some of her family. I have yet to see anything in any paper about this accident(doesn't mean it was not there,I just didn't see it)Granted certain details don't need to be "advertised" so to speak(in papers etc) ,but knowledge of an incident of this kind could  be benefical if for nothing else, sensitivity to the family and friends of this woman.Think about how you would feel if you went up to someone in her family & said "hey how's the family ?how's so & so doing ? what she up to these days?" (& your are asking this in the most cheerful, happy go lucky way you know how) & they have to try & answer that .My dad ,who owned a local business (over 20 yrs) here & and was involved in civic groups & you could not find anyone around here who did not know him, know of him ,or was familiar with something he did.people knew him up & down this state & in delaware, died alittle over 3 yrs ago.We ,of course still own the business and almost everyday, get a phone call from someone asking for him. That's hard to say " sorry ,he passed away 3 yrs ago". I have contacted customers that we only have to do work for 1 time a year ,& I'll ask for so & so & the person on the other end has to answer. There is no worse feeling - you just don't know what to say (other than I'm sorry. Though this woman is still alive & as I hear has become stable but will need surgery  & such  ,so her story is not as tragic as it COULD have been(had she passed away) -this was traumatic for her & her family & her friends & I for one am grateful that Islander started the post  - because at least 1 of her family members is a customer of ours  & by knowing what this family is going through right now - I WILL NOT be making a phone that my job requires me to make - it will wait.

Don't lose any sleep over this  Islander - you did not do anything wrong

I'm certain the originator of this post had good intentions.  Let's lighten our hearts and offer well wishes and support to the victim and her family.

Can we all just remember that someone had an accident . She is still fighting for her life and is in need of prayer . Plain and simple ...

Does anyone ever pray just for the " accident victim " .... those that are in the hospitals , nursing homes , etc ......

thanks ...

Choptanker: I agree with you. When there is a tragedy, most people send a note and flowers or bring some food to the family. I don't know how posting a blog that only serves to create rumors helps the family.

Islander, if you were so concerned about the family, you should've NEVER started the thread!  You're the one who made the post!

While I agree with being respectful to the family, the basic facts should probably be available for the public, and usually is available via the media.  Having the correct information posted would certainly help curb endless speculation as to who/what/how, and would stop the false information that seems to be circulating.  Specific details should obviously be left out for privacy purposes (i.e. types and severity of injuries), but there is no harm in stating names of those involved in the accident.  It would actually help get the victims in more prayer groups.  Just something to think about.

I would like to know who was involved in this accident and where and when it occurred if someone could let me know.  The only one I saw reported took place on Sunday afternoon near Preston.
