| I believe they are picked up as soon as possible after the election because it is good manners. People are nice enough to allow the candidates to place the signs in their yards, even though you have to move them when cutting grass, so it is best to collect them in a timely manner. The signs are expensive, and if anyone plans to run again, it would be nice to recycle them.

I don't know what the reason was but I agree that they should be removed as soon after the election as possible. They can quickly become a eye sore.

| I think they are actually only given so much time to take the signs down.

Thanks shadow - that makes sense, although the one that got Gage's sign was not Gage - perhaps Gage asked him to scout some.
With the price of everything going up, if some wants to run again, that is a good idea.
God bless,
Pete

| Ken Knox was collecting his own signs. I noticed Ms. Devlin's signs had been removed before the absentee votes were counted and the winner declared. Since these signs are about $10. each and most of these people will be running again, a special effort was made to reclaim as many signs as possible and as quick as possible.

Greetings to all,
I noticed that after the city election, most political signs were quickly removed from lawns.
Though I got mine off just as quick, not soon after that I saw a white truck coming down Race Street. Guy got out and picked sign off of Gage Thomas' lawn and then left. I did not get to see if he got any more.
A drive through town later revealed just about every sign had vanished.
I don't remember the signs disappearing so fast from other elections.
Does anyone know if there is some business / self-employed person that just comes and gets signs close to the walks and out in the fields? Would they somehow redo them?
A guy in my church had a sign he put in his yard - about 8ft away from the sidewalk. He said someone came and got it.
Anyone with the scoop on this?
God bless,
Pete
