What are some of the issues that people have with the school?  My parents only came to school 1 time in my 12 years there.  Wasn't good for me!!!

Mrs. Price has a very strong personality and will take charge.....she will stand up to anyone with no fear and correct problems as she sees...she might not always say what you want to hear, but she will address issues head on.

THANKS ~ for the info ......

When over 1/2 the staff is looking to get out of a school building , to me that indicates a problem . ( and not with the staff )

I can't wait to see how all the changes play out .

Input from teachers and parents should play a part in these decisions, the board is not there on a daily basis to know what goes on .....just input is all that would be needed....not a decision making process.  Feedback is always helpful to those that are not in the trenches!

Why are parents experts on the staffing of the school?  Isn't that the boards job?

I would say that Hurlock is the winner in the deal....Frank Stout it suppose to be an amazing, kind and caring man.  I feel sorry for the teachers that left Warwick and went to Sandy Hill to get away from the principal.  There are some excellent teachers at Sandy Hill and Warwick, just as there are at Hurlcok.  My concern is why would you move both administrators from Sandy Hill, leaving no one that knows the parents, students teacjer. the daily operation of the school....that is a battle the parents need to take up!   I am hoping that all will work out, but still believe Hurlock is the winner in this shake up!

I've had my own issues with Warwick but I think they went after the wrong administrator. I am sure you would agree with that too. As sad as your friend is to see Susan Price go is how sad I am to see the other administrator stay :(

I for one will miss Michelle Ruark at Warwick. One the other hand I wish some other people would go at least three that I can think of that are causing turmoil in the school with the teachers and students. Mrs. Ruark kept the school going and I can only hope that this new Principal is as good as the one we are losing.

Susie Price and Michelle Ruark are awesome teachers and administrators.  I had both while I was in school, and never had a problem.  I also know Mrs. Price outside of school (and as an adult) and she has nothing but her kids in mind.  Warwick will definitely stand to benefit from having her there.  Mrs. Ruark is also an excellent teacher and has her whole heart open for her kids.  All the schools will benefit.

Are you saying that Regina Teat will no longer be principal of Hurlock?

And Ms. Glessner is leaving too??

Very sad!

I'm thinking that's why they are doing theses changes.i believe it's a big reason why vaughn is going to the middle school. All i have heard for the last few yrs is how horrible ndms is .even the admin @ warwick uses scare tactics to the kids getting them prepeared to go there...telling them how awful it will be etc.vaughn cleaned up the high school ...now he's going to get the middle straight!!!

I will send you a pm soon if thats ok

Why don't they get rid of the problem teachers/administrators instead of moving administration around that works.  Sorry for ranting but Sandy Hill is finally holding their own and now we have to get an administration that may not!

What is the Board of education doing?  I hear they have moved several principals today.  Sandy Hill should not lose their principal and get a terrible one from the northern end of the county. :X
