When you wash your windows, clean back and forth only, on one side, and up and down only, on the other. Then if you have streaks, you'll know which side of the window it's on.

Take a fresh sheet of BOUNCE dryer softener, and rub it all over, including your hair and clothes, then tuck it in your waistband or sleeve. Great mosquito repellent! I tried it yesterday evening, it work for quite a while, until the skeeters got really bad. Don't forget to rub Fido down, too.

My daughter went to a cookout today, and brought macaroni salad. She made it the usual way, with Miracle Whip, eggs, onion, a little mustard, and salt and pepper.

She read on the allrecipes.com website, to add 1/4 cup Italian dressing, as in the vinegar and oil type, not creamy Italian, per lb. of pasta used. She did, and said it was great! Her father-in-law said, ok, something's different, can't tell what it is, but it's the best macaroni salad I've ever had!

I'm gonna try it for our cookout, let you know what everyone says.

Boiling water is one of the best weed killers I have found.

Edit:  Beware because it kills everything, including grass.

How To Keep Your Dive Mask From Fogging Up

Ideas that Won't Cost a Fortune
As an avid snorkeler I have often battled a foggy dive mask. A foggy dive mask is the one thing that can ruin a perfect snorkeling trip. There are a variety of commercial anti fog products on the market that promise a fog free dive mask but you can easily prevent your mask from becoming foggy without spending a fortune. Here are a few ways I have prevented my dive mask from becoming foggy when snorkeling.

#1- Spit

It may sound gross but spitting in your dive mask is one of the easiest and best ways to prevent it from fogging during your snorkeling trip. To use spit as an anti-fog simply spit on the inside of your dive mask and wipe it around the lens with your fingers and allow to dry. This technique is one of the most common forms of anti-fog used by snorkelers and divers but its effects are short lived you may need to repeat the process several times throughout your day.

#2- Toothpaste

This method requires a bit more planning than the spit method but has less of an ick factor. The first thing you will need is a tube of regular toothpaste. Make sure the toothpaste is regular because toothpastes that have gel in them will not work for preventing fog in your dive mask. Once you have your toothpaste spread a thin layer of the paste to the inside of your mask and rinse. You should now have a fog free day of snorkeling and diving, but you may wish to add a tube of toothpaste to your dive bag for unexpected emergencies.

#3- Avoid the temptation to breath through your nose.

Many inexperienced snorkelers will find themselves with a foggy mask despite any anti-fog products they use. This is because they are not snorkeling properly. While snorkeling it is important to avoid the temptation to breath through your nose. When you naturally release air from your nose you are adding warm and moisture to the inside of your mask which creates fog. If you breathe through your mouth and snorkel and do not blow any air into the mask you will avoid fogging up your dive mask. Proper breathing techniques also help prevent water from seeping into your dive mask and help maintain better air flow to your lungs through the snorkel.
