Speaking of the Broadway Grille, I was in there last week for dinner and had the Crabby Bird. Great deal for the price they charge, little messy but good. I then went to the bathroom and found this.

Why are they storing kegs in the bathroom? (no official word if the kegs were filled or not)

All bars have problems but I think the incidents at CBG are being exaggerated and blown out of proportion because of an invisible bias against any business owned by a "come-here" as opposed to a "from-here". Honestly,do you think theres never any fights at VFW or any other places where folks drink?

ok, I see your point that most of the bars are private.  I still dont like the fact that you cant go out to have a good time unless you are willing to put up with a bunch of drunk people partying is fair.  And yes, maybe it is because of the same people who ruin all of the other places.  I just dont think it is fair that I have to stay home because I am afraid that my children will see a woman take her shirt off while we are eating or some drunk fool come to try and borrow money from people.  You would think the establishment would want something different.

All of this is news to me....

And I just wanted to comment on an earlier post that said and I quote "all we need is another bar"...you make it sound like the strip is loaded with them, when in fact 90% of the bars here are private clubs like Pride,Elks,VFW,etc. After that the few bars that are left are part of a larger restaurant on the same premises.I am not from here but now I understand how things work.People here p*ss and moan about there being no place  to go hang out and when a place to hang out  does open up shop here you p*ss and moan that it is not up to your expectations.Even worse, the same crowd of riffraff that has been barred from all the other bars and restaurants shows up at all the new places that open and start trouble and then you blame the business when in fact its the small segment of locals who do not know how to act that are the problem at these places and they ruin it for the business owners and everyone else who wants to have a good time.
Why would you feel sorry for the neighbors? Some of the car stereos blasting in the neighborhood can be heard blocks away, and compared to the rest of the buildings on Broadway they have to look at out their window, this place at least looks nicer say than a big yellow building with beer signs or vacant lot.

Is there NO capacity limit for this place?  I realize the indoors has one, but the porch and deck has to have a poundage limit, it's completely dangerous.  I feel sorry for the people that live nearby, in the projects as well as on the boats.

And who is doing the macing??? Can't be our local pretty boy police force, seen them there partying as well, they might not have a drink in their hand (maybe they do) but they are certainly there socializing...NOT enforcing our laws, god forbid they do that!

How about fights, people falling down the front steps, people getting maced, and filthy restrooms.  I hope that is not positive.

Hadn't heard about the female dancers, and yes, it is illegal in Maryland.  But hey, you see who the bouncer is???? One of the good ole boys that use to be on the Crisfield Police Force, now why wouldn't that surprise me!!!

Yeah, I heard the place is real nice also, especially for the men who can enjoy women dancers (and give the tips for doing it).  I thought this was illegal in Maryland.  Just what we need around here anyway, another bar.

As of right now, the new restaurant and tiki bar have not opened.  The dates for its opening keep getting put off.  Before you know it, the summer will be over.  I realize the place needed work, but come on!

If your looking for a nice place to eat, visit the Pizza Shoppe, they now have daily family specials and inside/outside dining.  The place is really looking nice.  It's not just a 'pizza' place!

Who wizzed in your cornflakes?  The Waterman's Inn is a class act, classy food, and good service.   Apparentlly you have taste for poo if you think the Waterman's is so bad and are apparently very limited in your experiences.

We have people that stay with us at our Bed and Breakfast that are looking forward to the opening of the tiki bar (although I must admit, really preferred it with Rick managing rather than prior to his management)...in any case as it is now 6/17 with only two weekends left in june -- can you let us know the actual grand opening date in June for the Olde Crisfield Crab and Steakhouse?  Most of Crisfield and beyond would like to know.  Thanks

While it is nice to see new and old restaurants succeed, all of them slow down in the winter so they while do they do hire locals, the hospitality industry will never be a magic bullet for the unemployment problem here.Rubberset has benefits but they still do not pay very well compared to other manufacturing jobs.We need some real industry here.

blackjellybean, your thinking of Sam Lambrou and Diane Megonigle.

If you have a restaurant in Crisfield, can you put a sign in the median to advertise your menu? I didn't think so, but the non-profit clubs can and they are directly competing with the restaurants. Shrimp nite, steak nite, roast beef, spaghetti, bbq chicken, you name it. I would hate to try to run a restaurant and try to compete.

Hello this is Chris From The New Coming Soon "Olde Crisfield Crab Steakhouse and Tiki Bar" It is ALL under new ownership. We hope to open by the end of june. It needed many repairs that we weren't expecting. We have installed all new floors on the second floor.  We will be adding a whole new dinning room downstairs which is a major renovation. Please be patient as when we open it will be a enjoyable place to visit. Any question you may email me in Annapolis @ jj.wine@verizon.net

Many Thanks

Watermans Restaurant - a great dissapointment - tried it 3 times - not good and overpriced.  As for "Rick" if he is the Old Crisfield - when are you opening - I will be down this weekend-should have opened Memorial Day.  Jeepman-have you tried the Blue Crab Cafe - don't miss this treasure.

JeepMan, there is an undercurrent rumor that you are actually "Rick" from the Tiki Bar.  Seems like you've been openly critical of everybody and everything but Side Street (Olde Crisfield) and the Tiki Bar.

When are they going to open anyway?

If the rumor is true - you should know???

We just visited Crisfield for the Soft Shell Crab fest, we had come down to try the soft shells found it a little different but would try them again. My wife and I stopped at the Blue Crab Cafe later that night and had a wonderful cup of Chai tea and had the chance to meet the owners. Found it to be a nice place and the conversation was delightful. Will be stopping back in the near future to try the food. Thanks for the hospitality.

Well tell it.  Do you read the Crisfield Times? The Police Beat? They have found drug dealers in there and busted them.  They found hookers in there too.  Judging by your profile picture it seems like I hit a nerve.  Looks like you are one of the people in the hotels.

There are multiple reasons why this McDonalds is so bad.First of all, there is no competition-its not like Salisbury where you can go down the road and visit BK or Taco Bell instead.

Secondly, this McD's franchise was acquired by Baxter, and they just do not seem to be as in control of it as the predecessor,Baileys Enterprises, was.I recall a time when you could find Mike Bailey in any of the Shore McD's he owned personally overseeing service and scowling at people. He was a grouch and a pain in the butt the man knew how to run a tight ship and a profitable restaurant with great service.

Drug free and hooker free hotels would be great for Crisfield.  I agree that other fast food places would be nice.  Our McDonalds is the worst, slowest, and rudest.

Jeepman is probably right the best food in town is El Pubelto (spelling?) There food is good although  ,we paid about $50.00 bucks for dinner. I think the cove needs a decour overhaul. Food was ok .Crab dip great , crab cakes not so good . The rug is filthy.Staff was ok to us. I think there was a child there

I love Crisfield, I think eventually the town fathers will get it right. A couple of good clean *****drug***** free hotels would help alot too!

Good food, good fishing and a nice place for tourists to stay. That makes money and money makes a town grow. (I think)      : ) . But i don't really know about all those things.Just personal opinion. Oh and I love our radio station 97.9 it is so personal.

Wouldnt it be a hoot if Gordon Ramsay ever visited Delmarva restaurants when he comes to the US ?

Crisfield needs a fast food alternative to just McDonalds, a Burger King or Taco Bell would be awesome,I do have to say that Gordons has good fast food menu!

Waterman's Inn is terrible.  The food is terrible.  The service isnt great.  The prices are outrageous.  The portions are very small.  Waterman's Inn is the worst restaurant in town.  Their catering is terrible too.

Waterman's Inn ,the food is nothing great. The prices are shocking . Actually if someone in Crisfield would open a good seasonal restaurant they would clean up. The take out and eat-in in food Crisfield is embarrassing. At best ,it is awful.Sorry restaurant owners.
