| Plesae check the stats. the crime right is actually higher in the the city than it is in the Housing Authourity. Many a good person live and have lived in these projects, There is a project on the book that is worth about $10,000,000 ,to the local town. This will hire local companys and people. For a poor town , I think we need all we can get. All they need from the mayor is a fee rate for water, this doesn't sound hard to me . So what's up Mayor! So if you send the Housing Authourity your address maybe there is enough land to put it in your back yard.

| Have you asked this question during Public Input at a City Council meeting? Might be a good start.

No offense, because I havent been here long-but the local projects in Crisfield are a crime-ridden eyesore right there on the waterfront for all the visitors and tourists to see.Drug dealing, public drinking, you name it.I think its a great idea to relocate them, the elderly and disabled deserve a more modern, safe and secure housing complex than they have now.As far as the other residents,if they can drive new cars(swing thru the Housing Authority sometime and see)they can pay fair market price for rent like the rest of us.It would be nice to pay only $100 a month in rent but this is the real world and we must pay our own way.I cannot believe someone is outraged because they might have to pay $300 a month rent- but theres people out here paying 600-700 a month who have to work two jobs to do it. The Mayor is doing what he has to do to revitalize the city-and really, what other city in the US has a housing project right in the downtown sitting on potentially valuable waterfront real estate?????
Change for the city is inevitable. Baltimore City demolished all of their old "projects" and built newer nicer complexes with better security in more suitable areas. If you do not want to be at the mercy of the Housing Authority remember, nobody is forcing you to live in the projects.

| This is very true about the housing authority, the mayor and his little gang are going to the people at somers cove apts. and asking them wouldnt they like a brand new housing authority? What he is failing to tell them that it will be no more 25.00 rent and so on. The minimum you might get is 300.00. At least if you are going to tell the truth tell the whole truth. HE ALSO SAID POOR PEOPLE DONT DESERVE THE NICE VIEW. The housing authority has been a god send to alot of people from poor to disabled. I guess he has forgotton most of these people put him in office, he should be ousted.

| I am not aware of this situation and don't know where you are getting your information, but it would not come as a big surprise if it were true. I voted for this mayor, and regretted it almost immediately--that very day he was prancing around the sidewalk with a broom to gloat over his "clean sweep." I thought, "What a childish, disrespectful little man I voted for!" Since then, he has done nothing but disappoint. All progress was immediately brought to a screeching halt, and the city returned to it's old ways of never-ending planning and promises. The "good ol' boys" were back in power; now the same old fools who have presided over the long painful decline of Crisfield are calling the shots again. They managed one minor accomplishment: replacing a crumbling sewer line--and they celebrated like it was the fourth of July! I could go on, but you get the idea. My sincere apologies to Mayor Scott.

| I understand that there are millions of dollars in renovations available to revamp the Housing Authority that is being held up by the mayor because he wants to put in rich people where we poor people live. These renovations could create jobs in a struggling economy so who do you think you are Mr. Mayor? God? Your being selfish for your own personal gain. Why don't you think about others that really need their homes and that can't afford the luxury you live. We put you in office, how would you feel if someone took away your home?
