I was recently a patient at McCready hospital, and very proud of how the medical surgical staff handled themselves. As a person who has had quite a couple of stays out there i must say, things just are not the same. I dont know how they manage to do all they do on such a small floor with so little staff. I noticed that there are fewer nursing aides working during the day and night shift. I think they do a great job but sometimes they just look wore out. When there is only one person answering bells and helping patients, it takes them longer than it usually does. I know the hospital is building this new nursing home and tying to save a couple of bucks, but us the patients are suffering and the workers are too. Is cutting back on staff worth gaining a reputation for having the same slow and uncaring care as some of the bigger hospitals?? Just my thoughts, I love McCready have made it clear to everyone that " I rather die at McCready than be transfered somewhere else".
