"In times of hardship, where would you go"? No offense but what does that statement have to do with the Mayor and his popularity(or lack thereof)
I'm a come-here and from what I heard about some previous mayors it looks like y'all would be happy with this one.Be fair, look what he has to work with-he is doing his best.

| jcb do you honestly know of anything going on with the Mayor and his "plans" no you don't maybe I know a little more than I am leading on. So stop being ill informed, the mayor leads everyone to believe he has the best interest at heart, you wanna see his true personality, make him mad or don't give him what he wants. I have seen it first hand and its not a pretty sight! He cries like a little baby. Wake up people in times or hardship, where would you go?

| Managing a city is never easy. Trying to please everyone never works. Doing what is in the best interest of the town and its future, is the goal. We can agree to disagree, however the mayor is the mayor; bottom line. Operating within the legal boundaries of the office can be confining and he has done so well. Moving forward in any direction as a whole is always better than taking two steps backwards and remaining divisive.

This topic is beating a dead horse even deader if thats possible. All these people complaining about their subsidies-they would lose their dang mind if they had to pay $600-$900 a month to rent a home like those of us in the "real world" do,wouldnt they?
And why all the complaints about the Mayor? He seems like a very nice capable guy,why is everyone busting his chops?I am not from here and do not know this man but I have seen him everywhere, even at the Youth Club.He is NOT a bad guy.Give him a break.

Dear Lovemytown, by copy of this posting, I am requesting that the administrator of this forum delete this thread. Your thread "What's Up With Our Mayor" fully addresses the issue(s) that you bring forth here. In fact, it's a rerun!
It would appear that you are going out of your way to stir up the uninformed, and have them rally against Mayor Purnell.

| I just seen an advertisement on the local station for a meeting concerning the "Housing Authority Opportunities". He is not concern for anyone but himself. He does not have any plans to benefit any resident of the Housing Authority!!! He is gonna sugar coat the plans that he has a make it look all perfect with a pretty ribbon. He wants to demolish the Housing Authority or move it, when this happens all subsidy will be lost and rent will go up! Please don't believe anything he says he is a lying deceitful man! If you want to know the real truth I'm sure you can call the Housing Authority and they will tell you the truth!
