Relay for Life Apache Junction will be held on this upcoming Saturday, April 26 with gates opening at 6pm and the event concludes at 6am Sunday morning. All community members are welcome but we ask for a $10 donation at the AJHS Davis Field gate. Parking is available on the SE corner of Ironwood and Southern near the football stadium. If you are a Cancer Survivor please contact us at the gate and register as a Survivor. We will be holding a caterer dinner for registered Cancer Survivors at 6pm hosted by Chili’s restaurants at Davis Field. Teams will be walking all night in a “relay” fashion to symbolically demonstrate cancer never sleeps and therefore for one night either will we in our fight to defeat cancer. There is a touching luminaria ceremony at 9pm honoring those battling cancer and those who have been lost to cancer. The ceremony will conclude with a fireworks show celebrating those who are winning the fight and celebrate all the success we had made towards finding a cure.
