Don't let anyone tell you there's no such thing as a free lunch! The Arizona Office of Tourism sponsors a "travel deals" website listing discounts all around the state -- this month one of them is a collaborative coupon offer uniting Boyce Thompson Arboretum up near the historic copper mining town of Superior, and a popular Mexican cafe a short drive away from the gardens.
Two great reasons to visit scenic and historic Superior, AZ: a free lunch at Cafe Piedra Roja, or one free admission to Boyce Thompson Arboretum.
According to the website http://www.arizonaguide.com/traveldeals: "Through
June 30 show your Arboretum admission receipt for two people and get a "buy- one-get-one-free" lunch at Cafe Piedra Roja. Or enjoy great Mexican food or a burger at the Cafe, then show your lunch receipt for at least two meals and the Arboretum will offer "2-4-1" admission (a $7.50 value).
"Boyce Thompson Arboretum is a great day-trip, with more than two miles worth of trails that meander through 320 acres of desert gardens, tree-shaded paths and collections. Guided weekend nature walks include "Learn Your Lizards" June
7 and June 13 as well as a butterfly walk June 27, botany tours and more.

Cafe Piedra Roja is closed Sundays; visit any other day and show your Arboretum admission receipt for at least two adult admissions and get a "2-4- 1" meal special, with the lower priced lunch free! Or bring your cafe receipt to BTA for "2-4-1" admission to the Arboretum this month! Cafe Piedra Rojas features burros, enchiladas, burgers -- and artworks by local painters on the walls at 507 Main Street, Superior (Tel. 520-689-0194).
Restrictions: Cafe Piedra Roja is closed Sundays; otherwise this offer is valid daily at the Arboretum, which is open from 6:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m.
