The Valley’s Largest Celebrity Charity Lemonade Stand Party To Support Childhood Cancer Research
Scottsdale, AZ May 7, 2008 –Shane’s Home Accents in Scottsdale and Gilbert will be hosting the Valley’s largest Celebrity Charity Lemonade Stand Party at their Grand Opening Celebration & Charity Fundraiser on May 15th from 7pm to 9pm in hopes to raise some much needed funds for childhood cancer research. Former PHOENIX SUNS PLAYER turned custom furniture maker, Joe Courtney along with numerous Arizona beauty Queens are teaming up to man the lemonade stand in which a cup of “celebrity-made” lemonade can be purchased for any donation amount. In addition there will be many opportunities for the community and local businesses to contribute by simply attending, privately donating, or participating in the $25 charity raffle of over $5000 in great prizes that have been generously donated by local business- such as Cosmos Salon & Spa, Red Mountain Med Spa, California Pizza Kitchen and Blush Med Spa. At this fun filled free charity event of VIP guests, guests will enjoy private boutique shopping, a delicious chef prepared French picnic and pared wines, live entertainment, decorating demos, and activities that all will enjoy. The group of participating celebrities, business owners and residents request that others also get involved by attending this free Celebrity Charity Lemonade Stand Party benefiting the Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation For Childhood Cancer Research. About The Charity
Alex's Lemonade Stand Foundation (a registered 501c3 public charity) is a unique foundation that evolved from a young cancer patient's front yard lemonade stand to a nationwide fundraising movement to find a cure for pediatric cancer. Since Alexandra "Alex" Scott (1996-2004) set up her front yard stand at the age of four, more than $18 million has been raised towards fulfilling her dream of finding a cure for all children with cancer. From her idea this charity has been formed and is generously supported by Shane’s Home Accents in Scottsdale.
