Hospice of the Valley is sponsoring “Picking Up the Pieces in Mid-Life,” a free grief support group for younger widows and widowers. The group will be held at Hospice of the Valley West Clinical Office at 9720 W. Peoria Ave., Ste. 128, Peoria. The six-week workshop-style support group will meet Weds. from 6p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Oct. 15 to Nov. 19. Topics to be covered include shifting identity, changing relationships, dating and new roles.
