Author Stella Pope Duarte will be at the city council room ., at 7 p.m. on Thursday, Oct 16 to discuss her new novel, “If I Die in Juárez.” Duarte wrote the book after researching the unsolved murders of more than 400 young women in and around Cuidad Juárez, Mexico. Going on for more than a decade, the females, including school girls, have shown signs of torture and sexual abuse. These heinous crimes have never been solved by the Mexican police.
