AUGUST 1, 2008 - Phoenix, AZ – Maricopa County Recorder, Helen Purcell, wants to remind Maricopa County citizens the last day to register for the September 2, 2008 primary election is Monday, August 4. “Registration forms, if mailed, must be post marked no later than midnight, the 4th of August,” states Purcell. “Registration forms may also be filled out and/or dropped off at many valley wide locations listed below. Anything received after midnight will not be accepted for the primary election. This deadline also applies to any voter who wishes to change his or her party.” The County Recorder, along with elections staff, will be at the Recorder’s Southeast Complex office to accept completed forms and offer assistance to citizens who may have questions on the requirements for registering to vote.
Citizens may go to the County Recorder’s website http://www.recorder.maricopa.gov for questions on registration requirements. See the following list for locations and times to drop off and get registration forms. Registration forms will be available at the following locations in addition to being drop off points for last day registration.

EL ÚLTIMO DÍA DE INSCRIPCIÓN PARA LA PRIMARIA 2008 ES EL 4 DE AGOSTO A MEDIA NOCHE
AGOSTO 1, 2008 - Phoenix, AZ – La Registradora del Condado Maricopa, Helen Purcell, desea recordar a los ciudadanos del Condado Maricopa que el último día para inscribirse para votar para la elección primaria del 2 de Septiembre, 2008 es el Lunes, 4 de Agosto. “Las formas de inscripción, si son enviadas por correo, deben de tener sello con fecha de no mas tarde de la medianoche, del 4 de Agosto,” dijo Purcell. “Las formas de inscripción también pueden ser llenadas y/o entregadas en varios lugares a lo ancho del valle enumerados abajo. Todas las que sean recibidas después de media noche no serán aceptadas para la elección primaria. Ésta fecha límite también aplica a cualquier votante que desee cambiar su partido.” La Registradora del Condado, junto al personal de elecciones, estará en la oficina del Registrador del Complejo Sureste para aceptar las formas llenas y ofrecer ayuda a ciudadanos que puedan tener preguntas sobre requisitos para inscribirse para votar.
