Queen Creek, AZ, June 8th, 2009 - The residents of Queen Creek are in danger of losing their annual Fourth of July Fireworks Show.
The Queen Creek Kiwanis Club has sponsored this event for several years, soliciting donations to pay for the fireworks show. However, this year, several donors have had to withdraw their donations due to the economy.
“Unless some more donations come in, this year could very well be our last show,” said event organizer Andy Reyes.
The Kiwanis Club is asking that Queen Creek Businesses chip in to help continue this annual tradition.
“By having a Fourth of July Fireworks show in Queen Creek it benefits all of our businesses, families and schools," said Reyes. “People will stay here to watch the show instead of going somewhere else, which means they will be spending money and keeping tax dollars here.”
The event has drawn over 4000 people in past and is growing with every year. It has entertainment for the whole family including a a kids zone, music and the third largest firework in the Valley which ends the evening with a spectacular display of colors.
There are several sponsorship packages available and every little bit helps. For more information about the annual Fourth of July Fireworks Event or Queen Creek Kiwanis Club, contact Andy Reyes at 480-987-3494 or go to: http://www.kiwanis.org/FindaClub/tabid/84/Default.aspx/detail.asp.
Kiwanis is a non profit 501(c)3 organization with emphasis on children in our community and worldwide. The proceeds of this event will benefit scholarships to our youth, help to the less fortunate over the holidays, sport teams and much more in Queen Creek, Arizona.
