Upcoming Activities Scheduled at
Interfaith’s Birt’s Bistro & Bookstore


Northwest Valley, AZ - Interfaith Community Care’s Birt’s Bistro and Bookstore, located at 16752 North Greasewood Street in Surprise, offers numerous classes each month for both the young and old.  Made-to-order sandwiches, soup du jour, salads, and an array of hot and cold specialty drinks are available throughout the day.  Birt’s also offers catering services; both menus can be found at http://www.interfaithcommunitycare.org/bookstore.html.
Birt’s Bistro Schedule
• Controlling Blood Pressure – Learn about the importance of monitoring your blood pressure and the best ways to do so from Dr. Chris Rainer on July 7 at 1 p.m.
• Intro to Therapeutic Breathing  – Learn the benefits of healthy breathing and progressive relaxation from Kathy Seifert on Tuesday, July 7 at 2:30 p.m.
• Meet the Author: A Real Cinderella Story – Witness how a woman learns to forget her past and embrace a new life with hope as author Lucynda Murray shares her inspiring story in I Survived the First Half of My Life (My Cinderella Story); meet the author on Wednesday, July 8 from 11 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
• Book Club – Join the meeting on Wednesday, July 8 at noon.
• Do you have older costume jewelry? – Bring one to three of your pieces and listen to Regina Thibideau speak on values and the possibilities of selling on eBay on Wednesday, July 8 at 3 p.m.
• Iris Paper Folding – Make cards using this 100 year old craft on Thursday, July 9 from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. for a $7 fee.
• How to Stage Your House – for You – Learn from Donna Jamison on Friday, July 10 at 1 p.m.

Birt’s is designed to offer people of all ages a place to socialize, meet new people, learn new things, and enjoy a healthy meal.  Birt’s is open Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. and provides attendees with entertainment, exercise, and educational programs.  Birt’s also offers a used bookstore with a wonderful selection of books available for purchase, as well as free Wi-Fi access.  All purchases made at Birt’s Bistro and Bookstore go directly to support Interfaith Community Care’s programs and services.  Social workers are available in the information and referral offices in Birt’s to provide support and help for those seeking community resources.
