A new website founded by two Fullerton college students launched June 16th is helping beer drinkers save a little money in this gloomy economic climate.  ThriftyBeer.com researches prices from thousands of stores across Arizona to help beer drinkers find the best price on their favorite beer.

Users select their city and ThriftyBeer.com gives them a list of the top 10 cheapest stores and lists each of the store’s prices by ounce.  Google map software on the site displays the location of all the stores on the list, allowing the users to choose the store closest to them.  Savings on beer can range from a few dollars to upwards of ten dollars.  ThriftyBeer.com lists prices on both domestic and imports, in a variety of quantities.

ThriftyBeer.com founders David Echanique and Brandon McKenney both attended Troy High School in Fullerton. David is going into his junior year as a political science major at Cal State Fullerton and Brandon is currently attending Orange Coast Community College for his general education.  David and Brandon hope to expand ThriftyBeer.com into Florida by summer’s end.
