Upcoming Activities Scheduled at
Interfaith’s Chez Nous Center and Café
Interfaith Community Care’s Chez Nous Center and Café, located at 14495 R.H. Johnson Boulevard in Sun City West, offers several classes to individuals in the community interested in learning something new. In addition, made-to-order sandwiches, soup du jour and an array of hot and cold specialty coffee drinks are available throughout the day. A hot meal is served daily at 12 p.m., reservations are requested.
- Bead Embroidered Monogram Treasure Box– Enjoy this special art class and walk away with a great keepsake or gift that you made. Join us on Monday, May 12 or Tuesday, May 13 at 9 a.m. for crafty fun.
- iPod 101 – Join Charles Lagergren as your instructor for iPod 101 on Monday, May 12, at 11 a.m. Learn more about your iPod and other electronic toys currently on the market.
- Vision – Learn the latest in medical management of Glaucoma and Macular Degeneration from William Gitchell, OD, on Monday, May 12, at 1 p.m.
- Ages of Fashion Style Show – Interfaith Community Care will present a special multi-generational fashion show, entitled Ages of Fashion, at its Chez Nous Center and Café on Tuesday, May 13, at 1 p.m. With models ranging from 2 months old to 70 years plus, this unique fashion show will feature clothing from the Soroptimist Thrift Store. Attendees are encouraged to arrive early to get a seat, and maybe even grab a beverage or lunch. The fashion shows at Chez Nous are known to bring a full house, and the Ages of Fashion will be no exception.
- It’s All About Balance – Learn about how pH balance is crucial to good health through this special presentation by Carol Pickney on Wednesday, May 14, at 10 a.m.
- Medicare Questions Answered – On Wednesday, May 14, starting at 12:45 p.m. a volunteer from the Area Agency on Aging will be at Chez Nous to answer all your questions regarding Medicare HMO’s/PTO’s and the Part D Health Plan.
- Restless Minds – Join facilitator Joe Rief and speak your mind about this month’s topic, “Helping Culture and Self Reliance,” on Friday, May 16, at 9:30 a.m.
- Aging in Place Workshop – Sun Valley Financial, a Platinum Sponsor of Chez Nous, will be at Chez Nous on Friday, May 16, at 1 p.m. for a special presentation regarding reverse mortgages, long term care insurance and hard to place insurance. Get your questions answered.

Chez Nous (pronounced shay new) is designed to offer active seniors a place to socialize, meet new people, learn new things and enjoy a healthy meal. The café, open Monday through Friday, 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., provides attendees with table games, entertainment, exercise, and educational programs.
