HUMMMM AND THEY ARE MAKING A BIG DEAL ABOUT THE BAGGIE DROP BEING AGAINST THE POSTED LAW? WHAT LAW? THEY WORRY ABOUT TRIVIA WHILE THEY CONDONE RIPPING OFF THEIR ELDERLY NEIGHBORS WITH NO AFTER THOUGHT AT ALL. THEIR GREED IS NASTY AND THEIR LIES FLOW LIKE WATER. THEY WILL NEVER DO ANYTHING, YEAH RIGHT. ACTIONS SPEAK LOUDER THAN WORDS. WONDER IF AVERY WILL COME TO THE GARAGE SELL? GUESS WE HAVE TO WAIT AND SEE. OL MAROKSWITCY, THE GUY WHO RODE AROUND IN HIS RED GOLF CART LAST YEAR SHOUTING AT PEOLE TO NOT GO TO THE GARAGE SELL, THAT GUY, AT LEAST HE MOVED AWAY AND WON'T BE AROUND THIS TIME. Mom and I are blessed with the best kids on earth! They all showed up to look after their Mom and Gramma who had the flu', and now we are on the mend again and back in the game.
Thanks for all you do. All those who have been harrassed in the Villa grind their teeth and perservere. Thank God!
I am tracking the abuse of a dying man in Section 14 day to day. Maxwell is billing him for 5,000.00 in dues, interest and penalties (about $300.00) and the rest is legal fees. What a prince of a human being!
This "Avery" fellow has made his peace with tormenting his neighbors rather than confronting this predator who has been the only one to profit from all their lies, sneaking around, and phony excuses.
How well I remember the promises made that "The club would never lien DV property." That even though SADR had "some aspects of an HOA, they would never be an HOA, because enforcement of its provisions was at the "discretion of the Board."
Remember when we were promised that they would keep our Constitution, and Bylaws? Remember when members had to approve the expenditure of more than $3,000.00? Now, they write checks for any amount they want to without any input whatsoever from members.
Now, they are excusing their harassment and abuse of their neighbors by declaiming that: "We have to enforce the provisions of SADR, it's the law!"
When will they stop lying? When will they admit they've been gulled by a shark and get straight with the law and their consciences?
All those who are being threatened and forced into membership need to attend all the club's meetings and ask questions...most importantly, they need to demand answers.
Control of our property has been transferred to these bozos who can't shoot straight and we all need to get it back. Dorothy7.

must have been so dark you didn't notice the posted signs that you were breaking the law by soliciting for donations with your little baggies. But I guess the law only applies to other residents. Nice way to treat your neighbors.

In the pre dawn darkness today as we covered the villa with the baggies about the up comming garage sale, we could not help but notice the many empty and for sale houses in the community. Could it be the club's promise to protect and preserve the property values with their SADR filing on our deeds have finally reached the melting point with the residents and many are just fed up and moving on. Could be . There is sadness in the air, there is sickness in the air. Many are just getting by on fixed incomes but the club wants their fifty pieces of silver whatever the cost. How can they even justify this mess? How can they ?????

YES, BILLIE TAPPARO ALSO CAME FROM MY NECK OF THE WOODS IN KANSAS. BOTH MY PARENTS AND MY BROTHERS AND I WERE BORN IN STEVENS COUNTY KANSAS. OUR FAMILY CEMETARY IS THERE ON BOTH SIDES OF THE FAMILY. MY UNCLE OWNED THE DRUG STORE IN DODGE CITY WHERE BILLIE WENT TO DIE. MY GRANDFATHER TAUGHT AT THE U OF K WHICH IS LAWRENCE.
WHEN I THINK OF THE PEOPLE THERE, I RECALL A NEWS REPORT SOME YEARS AGO NOW IN WHICH AN OWNER OF A FEED LOT WAS INTERVIEWED ABOUT REPORTED UFO SIGHTINGS IN THE AREA. HE TOLD THE REPORTER THAT HE'D HEARD THAT, BUT DIDN'T BELIEVE THEY WERE FROM ANOTHER PLANET.
SAID HE COULDN'T IMAGINE ANYONE WHO WAS SMART ENOUGH TO TRAVEL THROUGH SPACE AND TIME WOULD WIND UP FLYING AROUND WESTERN KANSAS. BROKE ME UP, SINCE IT'S SO TRUE! JUST MILES AND MILES OF MILES. DOROTHY 7.

(sounds like he must be a Democrat, wanting a 'governmemt agency' to think, provide, & 'save out sorry butts...when we are very much capable of thinking & taking care of ourselves...maybe he wants to pay for one of my $1000+ cameras or for one of my stints into the 'hinterland', to take many pictures with the hope of selling 1...or maybe 2 if I'm lucky...what a surprise...there a lot of different people with a lot of different goals/ideas of what 'retirement' is for each & every one of us...we all pretty much have the same goal...buy a house in a relative quiet, safe, neighborhood, and live the way each one's particular desires, ideas suits themselves...after all, it is their/our home!..ct

(I'm a high-dollar girl...season tickets to the DBacks and the Suns? Also to the Phoenix Opera club? A season ticket for that season ain't cheap, so would have to increase dues to make them available to me and others who are "Happy paying and playing for my own hobbies."

The lawsuit filed by Concerned Citizens was for an injunction...a stop order until we could get hold of the documents...(consent signatures, ballots and proxies with which to validate the "consents" of owners) and count them to see whether or not a majority had signed in all the sections filed upon. The club's E & O policy paid for the attorneys and costs...you paid only for the insurance, as did every member...voluntary or mandatory. For, and against.
Vicki got those documents so there were no fees to the club, or to Vicki...(she filed pro per.
Now if someone on the Board feels that they whip you for printed false statments, please feel free to enjoy the beating...Perhaps you can choose which of board gets to lay on the lash?

I can't help but wonder if our friend, Alas was in fact the creature of the recently departed Billie Tapparo? It never sounded anything like her, but who knows? A Nom de Plume encourages creativity does it not? Whatever, I am sorry she is gone...got to know her...we disagreed...often....but they were honest disagreements as far as I'm concerned...Oddly, she was from the same area in Kansas where all my parent's people and I, and my brothers were born...My uncle Woodrow Anderson owned a drug store in Dodge City for years...bet she knew him and Bernice.

Did your attorney work pro grata when you took the Club to court to save a few hundred in dues? Are the residents that were encouraged by your group going to be spending thousands and still have to pay their dues, fines & interest. Appears that every resident in the community pays one way or another!
Are we telling perpective buyers of your house about the Great Club Facilities and Amenities when they stop by?

It has been ten days now and still no Bable on and on. Gee kinda miss their crap ? not ! But maybe the others have something to say ? They sure looked confused in court the other day. Bet they wish this mess would all go away that they started. Maybe this Christmas someone else will get a present ? have to wait and see. Mean while, the mess goes on and on and on. Kinda like old Babel.

PS. Got an interesting case off the internet Court site, of a disabled lady...dead by drowning in a Motel pool where she was living after Maxwell foreclosed on her home and sold it. What became of her equity? Hmmm? How long are you going to put up with this? Her name is Sabina Prioletta...(cv2005-091703) Look it up.

Alas dear: I apologize for the long silence. I have been reviewing the information available on the Superior Court's web site, and it appears there are wondrous goings on afoot...
Attended a club meeting at which the Board decided to block my attendance as the representative of an ill mandatory member. Oh yes, I had the authorization in writing, and the member's card as required in the Statute re: open meetings law, but still, they could not bring themselves to abide by the law. They called a recess of 1 hour and 15 minutes while they tried to weasel their way around it; then dispatched a member to threaten me with arrest for criminal trespass.
Then, Maxwell told them that they could not interfere with the absent member's right to appoint a representative to speak and vote for him at the budget hearings.
After reconvening, they approved the proposed budget without discussion, and Mr. Madsen blew his cool about the article in the Independent reporting the Summons fracas...he was very upset, and declared the Court's actions were very unfair, and that they would not be recovering their costs.
Now, who, Dear Alas, has said all along that employing an attorney at $150.00 per hour, to collect less than 200.00 per Summons was good business practice? What, in the name of garden variety good sense are they doing?
When, and if this thing goes to appeal...it's likely they will be more than $37,000.00
in the hole....
The reason, dear Alas, is that "less than half the voluntary members are paying their dues." Janet Massey, acting as membership chairman reported.
Even you will have to admit that statement puts the lie to the "overwhelming majority of owners supporting the club", and a "tiny little band of malcontents causing trouble."
The club is still trying to get by with refusing to allow me to pay my dues as an expelled member who has never violated any known club rules, and again, they are in violation of the Statutes and their own rules in persisting...apparently Maxwell is trying to persuade them that yet another lawsuit is in the interest of silencing all dissent. There were about 30 people present during the most recent demonstration of tyrannical rule in which members sit silent, and the board votes in chilling unanimaty. Those who express ANY disagreement are expelled or shouted down.
Petra Campean, a member in good standing, and a refugee from Albania...one of the most repressive communist countries on earth, tried to warn the board that they were using similar tactics on dissenters, and should change courses and their attitudes toward club members. He was gaveled down, and shouted down BY BOARD MEMBERS!
So, I'm back. The same voice of reason in a sea in turmoil. Dorothy7

If all Dreamland Villa residents were to be polled and asked: Who is the current DVCC president?
The outcome would be, at the very least, 85% not knowing.
I'm sure the results would be, again, at the very least, much the same (85%-15%) if all Dreamland Villa residents were asked to name a current board member.
That's what makes the dishonest actions of DVCC board members (past and present) even more appalling. These people, pathetic as they are, comprise a small clan who have transformed themselves into self-annointed GODS.
They rule their kingdom through deception, secrecy and greed. Through their eyes, the many nice people living in Dreamland Villa are not valued as good neighbors, but as sources of income (forced) to fund their kingdom's playground (DVCC).

Dear Alas: What a seque...we all know whose scamming us...it's good old "call me charlie"...when Vicki, Rich and I were "expelled" on December 12, 2006, Janet Massey read the Motion....it began as follows: Acting on the advice of our attorney...then they proceeded to try to expel club members without notice (15 days written notice of the rules they were alleging had been violated) and a hearing. That attempt failed because they proceeded outside the rules and the statutes governing non-profit corps. ALL ON THE ADVISE OF THEIR ATTORNEY! Those folks are not the sharpest knives in the drawer, just the greediest.
Then I went over to pay my dues and my mothers. (She had sent a check along for the 08 dues as well as the last 4 months of 2007)
Gene Espy told me at first that the club's computer was broke down and that he would not be able to process the checks before the meeting convened. I suggested that Jeannie could make the up the cards and hold the checks until after the meeting, but he said he would have to talk to their attorney. At 1:o'clock I went back over, and found that my check envelope and note to Gene Meade had REJECTED scribbled all over them..(apparently on the advice of the attorney) and they would not accept Mom's check either, because they have a right to refuse to allow anyone to join...without cause.
I asked him where that rule was, and could he provide me a copy? He said he didn't know the answer to either question.
What other conclusion can one come to logically other than Maxwell tells them what to do, and they do it whether it's in violation of the rules, and law or not, and they just do it...mindlessly obedient servants of lawyer who should not be allowed to practice law in any civilized state. Abusing and deceiving old people, and harassing and tormenting them with threats to foreclose on their homes, or humiliating them with published attempts to expel them them from the club without ever citing a rule or cause.
What a guy! I had hoped the Board would come to their senses before any more people were hurt by their slavish devotion to his schemes. I was wrong. God help us all if he succeeds! Dorothy

Blog sites are a great tool! They can be used to share information good or bad. They can be used to contact people that you don't normaly come in contact with.
There are problems with the system though! What they need besides a spell check is a distortion and truth check. Most often the most articulit or the ones with the largest font and pictures are the ones believed!
Readers :: Always check the facts, club minutes, read the Citizen, attend the meeting when you can. The Board and Club are residents just like you, they are on fixed incomes, they want their property to be something they can be proud of, many of them have physical problems and as residents they don't want the community to anything other than what it is. A 55+ retirement community that they can be proud of, take part in the many activities that are offered and enjoy life.
A question for the dissedents: Why would your neighbor volunteers do any thing to hurt their own property values.
As Dreamlndman stated in his entry the other day, he believes 85% of the residents don't know who the board is. It isn't because it is a secret ( it is published every month in the Citizen)! Probably only 2% of the residents visit this website and that number is probably high.
On the Happy side,
Residents are returning, activities starting a new season.
The entertainment schedule is starting in Oct. There is a great season planned and some very special shows. See you there!

Since the DVCC is refusing to accept Dorothy's money and her mother's money then why do they want mine? Under waht ruel does this fall under? Who made the decision not to take the money and why? I thought that the "Club" wanted all the money they could get and if you didn't pay the put a lien on the property. All this doesn't make a lick of sense to me. The "Club" is picking and choosing who they will accept from--isn't this a form of discrimination? I would say so.

| Good Morning Dorothy!...it looks to me like that you were 'intruding' into somebody's 'private sand box'...& they handed you, your shovel, bucket...& told you to go home...after all, "that is 'their sandbox', and they 'don't want NO "girls" playing in their sand box...where is Alas/Alias when we really need his vast knowledge of 'world politics & democratic negotiating'...probably still sleeping...right past all the 'FACTS'...again...and again...Why don't you just give your same envelope to Alas/Alias, & let him handle it for you...you had probably better give him, written, certified, & witnessed approval to do it though...no need for him to spend any effort any more than he does...every day he 'indulges us' with his vast knowledge of the goings of the 'criminal minds' of the HOA "masterminds"...a real 'tiring' occupation...I guess you will have to have your lawyer, draw up an accompaning 'letter of intent to pay your dues', & have him/them served...having been a Deputy Sherriff in KC, MO, I would be glad to do it for you...but anybody can do it...and I wouldn't let the info get out in the public domain...You will probably have at least a thousand or two, 'volunteers', to do the service...ct
