R: If you would do a little research of my entries to this blog, you would find that I have never served on the board! So I am not Billie! But then again you usually don't research anything you just jump to the worst conclusion possible! So get out all of your old phone books, Citizens and go through the list of board members! I ain't none of them!
I am just a happy person enjoying my retirement in the community I chose to do it in! I respond to articles in this site to balance the entries. I think everyone has the right to do so and don't call people names if I disagree with them!

Babel Bille,
How much homwork does a person need to do to know the truth about you and the club ? When you have lived through the nightmare of watching a president hire an attorney, when you have lived through the nightmare of having you property deed attached with the SADR, when you have lived through the nightmare of residents who have been served your Merry Christmas summons'. When you have gone to the homes of the elderly and the confused who ask for your help, when you see the misery brought on by the greed of your club. Not much homework, just walk through it and know from where the grief comes. And the real kicker, how can you guys be so above it all and not take any ownership of the evil you conflict.?

Dorothy7: According to the Bible I read " Our rightuosness is as filthy rags in the sight of God! It isn't how good, generous or obedient we are, it is what Christ has done that seals the deal. I can be happy because " I know in whom I believeth and am persuaded that He is able to keep me against that day"!
Best If we didn't get into the topic of religion, as my Professor at Grand Canyon College said " The Truth is absolute and it is the responsiblity of each person to search out the truth and what they do with it"! If we rely on others we may not find it!
Here at Dreamland if people would do the homework instead of relying on hearsay we would have better informed residents. That is one thing you have always said. What I say is if you are a Club member go to meetings, ask questions, take notes and then decide whether the situation is as bad a many claim it is!

Belief, and repentance, Alas dear. The second part is the hard part...isn't it? Dorothy7.
The admonition to the adultress was "Go, and sin no more." It seems to me that we all forget the second part...Foregiveness requires repentance. Give that some thought from time to time...wouldn't hurt.

The sun has risen as did the Son many years ago! It is a beautiful day to rejoice in! Many reflect on the days of thier childhood, the Easter mornings, the whorship services, the baskets, the egg hunts.
In our home in the early years we would make a nest with our clothes and the colored eggs would be in the nest when we awoke. As we grew older we discovered the older siblings were doing the eggs and eventually we took our turn and did them for the younger ones.
Of course the true spirit of the week revolves around the death, burial and glorious resurrection of Jesus Christ! With that the promise that GOD offers to the World through the gift he sent in the form of man! Jesus said " For GOD so loved the World that he gave his only begotten SON, that whosoever believeth in him should not preish, but have ever lasting life."

Babel Billie,
Sure you are happy, you don't give a darn about anyone else. You are so narrow minded and focused on the social club. Get out and talk to the residents, the real ones that don't show up on any of your membership lists. Ask them how happy they are living under the threat of foreclosure and summons for debts that are not owed. Ask them how it feels to not have any money to buy prescription medications and pay the utilities and cost of food. Ask them how fun it is to live here in Nightmare Villa. We double dare you

In response, may I suggest that delirium is not always happiness? You really MUST do something to help yourself out of this mess you're in, dear Alas.
Billie was the one who liened, or issued Summonses to lien 39 of her neighbors. The Summonses include $500.00 attorney's fees. So far, they've collected zip, and have paid out thousands.
Maladministration of club money, perpetrating a fraud, violations of member's rights, violating the rules, and the statutes...etc. etc.
I cannot think that the board's integrity is in question any longer...they have none. Dorothy

The rest of the story is that after Marotski read the letter the board and president were so riled up they kicked Dorothy and Vicki and Rich out of the club, retroactive to Jan 2006. That takes away, supposidly, their right as members and legal standing. Will it work. Remains to be seen in court. So why is everything revolving around this letter or is it a smoking mirror? Why isn't someone raising heck with them for serving the summons to the residents? That is more vile and viscious than any letter anyone has written except for the crap sent to Leslie Starks. Another thing about guoting his blog to me Babel Bille, is the part about following the money. What is your take on that ?

Dreamlandman & Dorothy7: As usual instead of answering questions you go off in all directions, trying to insult people!
Dorothy won't answer the question! Even with R and Dreamland man running interference for her. I guess she didn't say no to the question, she must have sent the letter in question to Billie! Of course there are propably 30 -40 people that heard the letter read in a board meeting.
On the happy side of the day, Sunday a large population celebrate Easter with friends and family! A day to reflect on an important event in Christian history! So as we prepare for the Holiday let us remember the men & women in the military that are serving this country! They need out prayers and support and if you have some person you know that is serving, send them a note thanking them. We can even E-mail some of them!

I have been amazed that Alas seems so targeted on something so trivial. I have not taken his/her constant confusion regarding "The Devil and Daniel Webster" non-issue too serious. Until now.
It's actually become a warning sign that Alas should seek mental help and real soon. I should have reacted sooner but I never figured his/her obsessive rants and raves would keep on going this far.
Alas, I'm real serious about getting some immediate help. At least do it for your family members.
I don't know if this will stop his/her madness, but I remember your satirical reference addressed to me, me,me,me,---Dreamlandman---drawing a humorous comparison between "The Devil and Daniel Webster" and the ex-dvcc board president. It's what those of us with half a brain call a whimsical possible similiarity based on the story.
How any person could mistake it with being of a threatening nature is incredible....but then, we must realize these are board members we are dealing with so anything is possible!
Eugene and Alas and the others are definitely not "top-heavy" in the brains department.
DREAMLANDMAN Dorothy responds: The most Chilling aspect of all this is that Murkawski actually interrupted the Board's deliberations of New Business and launched a totally absurd attack on me as having "sent Billie a vile, threatening letter" and read it again. (I'm sure that the audience must have wondered when they'd get to the threatening part, but it has become a cause celeb' for them.) This person, (Alas) needs to consult his/her primary care physician and ask about this problem. I am not being sarcastic or trying to make a joke. This whole thing is just flat out weird. Particularly since at the meeting during which I responded to Murkawski's attack, the very next action of the Board was to vote unanimously to expel Vicki, Richard and me. Since the motion, made by Janet Massey, was prefaced with the statement: "Acting on the advice of our attorney I move that we expel etc." Could it be that Alas is "acting on the attorney's advice in this matter as well? Bizarre, through the looking glass. (that's a reference to Alice in Wonderland). Dorothy7

Great April issue of the Citizen, informative tibits for helping us enjoy living in Dreamland. The season is winding down, folks leaving for the summer. Please remember to contact the office and posse so your house can be checked from time to time! Also have your neighbors keep an eye on the place if they happen to hang around during the summer!
One thing we never think about is the production of the Citizen. The photos, articles and information are taken by, written by and furnished by you friends and neighbors! Miller Media Services working with our in house editor B Miller ( I don't know if they are related ) put out the finished monthly product! The monthly calender is a favorite page of ours.

Babel aka Billi T,
Yeah we read the funny paper, can you believe the Presidents article? Who writes for that lady ? You ? Her summary about for profit and non profit was the biggest bunch of jipperish I ever read. Well almost. And what happened to the Disclosure Fees part of the financials.? You know the twenty grand or so. Is that on hide away deposit somewhere ? Now you guys are calling it transfer fees. 1500.00 as income does that mean 2 houses sold at 500.00 each ? So when it gets to twenty grand you will call it something else? And the legal fees ! Oh my gosh, you pay Charlie well. He gets it win loose or draw. At what point is spending thousands to collect hundreds worth it ? Hummmmm

BABEL ON AND ON AND ON AND ON AND ON,
We did not loose, you guys lost you just won't admit it but the day is comming. The only thing we lost was the right to own and enjoy our property, thank you very much Nightmare villa club and presidents. Oh yes we have read the latest edition of the Funny Paper. Did you notice a new financial entry, " Transfer Fees"? So far this year they have collected 1500.00. So that means only three houses have sold ? Hummm. What happened to the other entry, disclosure fees? The twenty thousand or so, guess it got lumped into the membership fees of around 350,000.00. Now aren't you proud of yourself? How you gonna pay that all back ? Oh and the Presidents message was most amazing. She hasn't a clue about profit and non profit. Maybe she should read the filing at the Corporate Commission or better yet the one this year she has to sign. That should be worth giggles if it wasn't so pathetic. Get out of the property managment business Nightmare Villa, you have no right , morally or legally and you know it.

R: You had a choice when Whites came to ask you to sign, you said no! You lost!
Boo Hoo! Get over it!
Have a great show coming up on the 18th. A group of orphans giving a show to raise money for a trip! 7 PM is curtain time. The students at the Silver Creek Academy for the Performing Arts are made up of younsters ( age 4 through 19 ) from three continents. They will be presenting their " Trbute to America" program!
Should be a treat for all and a chance help a group of children.
The April copy of the Citizen should be on your door step soon. Check the calender for the events that interest you!

Dorothy7: I was talking about your neighbors in the community that volunteer to serve countless hours to enjoy and help countless residents enjoy their community. You are always lumping board members that you despise with every active in person in the community! Is that fair?
Aren't we allow to sign, vote or work any way we want too? I think we are! Does it make the residents that disagree with you money hungry, elder abusing old farts? I don't think so!
So Dorothy in all fairness you need to separate the few people you are mad at from the rest of the community that just go about their lives doing the things they enjoy! Thats why they moved to Dreamland.

DEAR ALAS; HEROES DO NOT STEAL OTHER PEOPLE'S PROPERTY. THEY DO NOT HARASS OLD SICK PEOPLE WHO CANNOT FIGHT BACK. THEY DO NOT FORCE OTHERS TO PAY FOR THEIR PHILANTHROPIES. THERE ARE NO HEROES ON THE BOARD. THEY ARE SELF-ABSORBED, SELF-INDULGENT OLD FARTS WHO HAVE DELUSIONS OF BEING THE COUNTRY CLUB SET BY STEALING THE MONEY IT TAKES TO MAINTAIN THAT FICTION FROM OLD SICK PEOPLE.
MY HERO IS VICKI WIRTZ. SHE FOUGHT THEM ALONE FOR OVER THREE YEARS...ALL THE WHILE REMAINING CIVIL AND COURTEOUS TO THAT SELF-CONGRATULATORY PACK OF THEIVES, AND WAS EXPELLED FROM THE CLUB FOR TRYING TO PERSUADE THEM TO OBEY THE LAW AND THE RULES.
YOUR HEROES, ON THE OTHER HAND TRAVEL IN PACKS LIKE HYENAS...AND HAVE EXACTLY THE SAME MORAL COMPASSES...THEY ARE LIARS AND COWARDS, AND THE DECENT PEOPLE IN THIS COMMUNITY SHOULD RUN THEM OUT OF TOWN ON A RAIL.
I AM SORRY IF THE TRUTH SPOILS ANY OF YOUR FUN, BUT YOU'RE A BIG BOY NOW AND CAN HANDLE IT. DOROTHY7

R & Dorothy7 ::::: the Dreamland Community Theater is supported by admission tickets and donations. And hours and hours of donated time by the old farts as you call them Dorothy! These people have more goodness and generosity in their little fingers than you have in your whole body! They prove it every time a need arises.
Example: The posse sale, 80 - 90 people moved things from 3 storage units, placed it in specific areas, processed it, arranged it and priced it for 2 days. 8-10 hours a day! Then they worked for 2 days selling, helping customers and restocking tables. All of this after a year of picking up donated items and storing these items. Dorthy calls them "old farts", they are HERO's in my book. Helping the community clean out their houses of unwanted items, organizing a fund raiser to furnish the posse with fianances to continue serving ALL RESIDENTS ( club members and nonmembers alike ) with a service! And then there are the posse volunteers, all give of their time for training, buy their uniforms and then work with the Sherriff's dept when needed. They patrol the community, will check your house when you are on vacation if you leave the information with them.
What a bunch of great neighbors and friends!

iSN'T it just a sad state of affairs when citizens allow HOA boards and non profit social club Boards to mess with them? In the past there would have been swift retribution. This is not what our country is built on. Matter of fact many of those who were served with summons are Veterans and gave of their time and service to defend the very thing they are being abused on now. Now that is sad ! but we live in a day of law and order and Justice is blind, however slow and blind justice will be served. Glorious Day !!!

I am in hot pursuit of a report from a neighbor that a home recently bought in Section 3 was charged 500 for transfer fees when the new owners tried to pay their dues. Their complaints fell on deaf ears at the office.
At this writing they are refusing to join the club or pay the $500. Dorothy
Stay tuned.

ARTICLE VII
Section 3. Transfer and Disclosure Fees. The corporation shall be entitled to assess and collect from the Owner transfer fees, disclosure fees and /or any other fees required by the Community Documents or permitted pursuant to Arizona Law, including Arizon Revised Statutes Section 33-1801, et seq, with respect to the sale or transfer of title to any Lot. The payment of any such fees assessed by the Corporation shall be enforceable in the same fashion as any other assessment pursuant to this Declaration or Arizona Law.
Page 14 SADR document that is attached to all properties in Nightmare Villa except section six.
The disclosure fees are now $ 500.00 and collected at time of closing on property sales. How sweet for the Club. The interesting thing about this is that ARS 33 etc pertain to HOA laws and not non profit social clubs, that would be ARS 10 etc.

Dorothy7: Maintainance is part of any facility whether it is your house or Farnsworth Hall. The entertainment and dances are supported by the people that attend. The kitchen remodel was a must because it out of date & couldn't be used. And a great deal of the remodel was from donations & fund raising!
Now friends and neighbors that enjoy living and being retired in Dreamland have a great choice iof activities.
I know there are residents that will never use them, but they are there for those that do! Different strokes for different folks.
I know there are people that don't care about the 55+ overlay, but there are people that moved here for it.
In order for it to remain a 55+ community the club and the volunteers have worked ( with the county ) for 40+ years to maintain the age restrictions. From your previous statements you don't care about the 55+ overlay so if the we lose it your just fine.
I babel in case someone is new to the site they can see where some of us are coming from!

Enjoying Dreamland Remember all those who are paying for the sound system, the velvet drapes, the new kitchen fixtures, etc. etc. etc. who cannot dance, or afford to pay for you to do so. Makes one wonder how you can look at them without cringing. Dorothy7

For Dreamland residents that enjoy living here there is a real treat Sat at 7:00 PM. A dance under the stars at the band shell, the Dakote Kid will be providing the music. It was a great time last fall and we are expecting a lot of friends & neighbors to bring their favorite guy or gal to share the evening with.
There was a special visitor from the heavens last time as a meteor shot across the sky during a slow dance.

R: The truth detector knows all, but it won't allow me to call neighbors names as you have the tendicy to do in just about every entry you make in to the site. Maybe I will ask the detector the question what attracted R & C to choose Dreamalnd as a place to move into? Was it the clean quite streets, the well goomed homes, was it the low price at the time, we know it wasn't the 55+ overlay or the amenities.
I do know why we moved here, the clean quite streets, the price of the home, the well groomed neighborhood, the 55+ overlay and the amenities.

So Babel on and on and on,
You live within sight of our house ? How comforting to know you are on patrol. Yes the tree is gone , but the parrott hotel has taken it's place. If that is the best you can do to us , you are one sick SOB. But I always suspected that. Go have fun you idiot.

R: What do you have against people enjoying life? Are you so depressed that anyone having fun upsets you? I apologize for a world that has been so cruel to you!
As far as trimming trees, it is nice to see you finally got your palm tree trimmed after all these years. Another 10 ft and we won't be able to see the truck above the fence.
No babel, just facts!
Enjoying Dreamland.

You are correct about Babel on an on Dorothy,
He/she has myopic vision and can only see the pot lucks and bingo parties. What on earth would they do if 4000 showed up today to take a swim? What a joke and the part about keeping the property values up, what have they done for you today at your house? Trimmed the bushes, the trees, anything? Not ! All they know how to do is try to intimidate and bully people. That crap is over now, a lot are starting to fight back big time and many more are just waiting to see what happens. Look out Nightmare villa party dudes. the big feet are coming.

Less than 50% could be a large number of volunteers. So a lot of people could be paying dues because they enjoy the community!
As far as active people the sign in sheets aren't used in all of the activities so that isn't a fair estimate! The pools are used by groups of people that go at different times of the day! We had 85 volunteers working on the posse sale for 3 days now and I met probably 50 -60 people I never met before.
There are a lot of people enjoying Dreamland! Dorothy really said: 85 of 4,400 who could if they had any interest in that silly club whatsoever? We have supported the posse in the past, and still do. They are not even all club members...I spoke with one who lives in Apache Wells. They provide an important service for all residents...Alas dear, wake up!!!Dorothy7 P.S. There are not a lot of people enjoying any part of that club!!!

Dear Alas: Please. If you would remember that I too have served on the board. I know who uses which facilities...Most of those participating in the "activities" parti-cipate in all of them, so that the rock shop, the painting room, the wood shop..etc., have the same old faces. The exceptions are quilting, Bingo, the computer club, and golf. Those who use the pools are basically the same people who used them when I was on the board all those years ago.
Check the sign in sheets. I still say that a tiny fraction of residents, make any use whatsoever the activities (44) are window dressing. I would like to add, that the auxillary clubs...Bocce ball players, ceramics etc. raise money from time to time for their activities but their numbers are very limited. So, in the end, like Bocce Ball, a board member's interests are more than likely the activity that gets into the club treasurey.
You may very well be ecstatic over your term in office because you can fund your personal preferences of activities out of the pockets of your neighbors. At a recent Board meeting, a Board member reported that less than 50% of the people in voluntary sections are paying dues.
This is the way it has always been. Way less than half the owners support any kind of mandatory membership or dues. You know it...the past board's knew it...I know it. The only reason the fraudulent assertions about '"saving the senior overlay" was used to garner signatures was stated by Andy Anderson at one of the many executive board meetings when I was on the board and he was chairman of the Mandatory Membership Committee.
"If you use the word HOA, you won't get six signatures." he said. No one disagreed.
I then responded that if they did not, they would be defrauding those who signed, and they would get their behinds sued off.
I asked why not send out ballots and a copy of the proposed new covenants to all those who would be effected? Those who voted for would be mandatory members, those who voted against would not enjoy any benefit offered by the club.
That course of action would have saved thousands of dollars in attorney's fees, (nd the future attorney's fees that will come with civil actions for damages.)
Alas, those of us who wanted no part of this scheme left the board...we should have stayed and fought this insidious usurpation of power. Those in the so-called mandatory sections now numbering 40, would not have to hire an attorney to defend themselves from fraudelent liens.
Those who have been expelled for revealing the unlawful acts by the board would not be forced to endure the insulting and hostile actions of the Boards. Dorothy7

Dorothy& & R : There are over 44 different activities that residents can be involved in. Having different interests they join in on the ones they enjoy. If only 25 people were involved in each activity that would total 1100 residents! We both know that a lot more than 25 are active in each one and that there are some that attend more that one.
I never claimed everyone goes to everything. The largest crowd I have seen was the "Sold Out" St Patricks day show when 520 tickets were sold.
Close to 50 activites for a community of people with different interest and hobbies to enjoy living in Dreamland Villa. It isn't bable when it is fact!
