Sports-card show and memorabilia auction raises funds for softball team

DOVER – The Wyoming United Methodist Church Softball Team will hold their 18th Annual Sportscard Show and Silent Auction of Memorabilia from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 21, in the church located at 216 Wyoming Mill Road, between Wyoming and Dover. Former University of Delaware and Texas Rangers star outfielder Kevin Mench will sign free autographs from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Admission is $2 for adults, with children under 10 admitted free. The auction will include nearly 200 items, including signed items by Joe Flacco, Sir Elton John, Andy Roddick, Peyton Manning, Heidi Klum, Toby Keith, Arnold Palmer and Alan Jackson. For dealder tables and information, contact John W. Shoemaker at 284-2468.

New location is near Wyoming but not in town limits. It's also not in Dover city limits nor in Camden town limits, but it's on a Dover mail route. However, mail address remains P.O. Box 389, Wyoming, DE 19934-0389.

Register early for Evangelism Seminar to get discount
 WYOMING – On Saturday, Sept. 19, an Evangelism Seminar will be held in the new Wyoming United Methodist Church at 216 Wyoming Mill Road. The featured speakers will be Steve Wingfield and Dr. Robert Coleman. Mr. Wingfield is a nationally known evangelist and president of the Steve Wingfield Evangelistic Association. He put on a revival in Dover during 2006. Dr. Coleman is a world-known teacher and speaker. He has authored 21 books including "The Master Plan of Evangelism," "The Coming World Revival" and "Singing with the Angels." The seminar will start at 9 a.m. and conclude at 4 p.m. Lunch is included. Registration is $15 until Sept. 1 and $20 after. Call 670-5227 for registration details or questions.

Camp E.D.G.E. vacation Bible school in Wyoming


DOVER — Wyoming United Methodist Church, in its new location on Wyoming Mill Road, will hold a vacation Bible school using the "Camp E.D.G.E." format, from 9 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. Monday through Friday, June 22-26.
