Church plans Pastor's Harvest Home Celebreation
GEORGETOWN -- The Booker Street Church of God, Georgetown, will observe a Pastor's Harvest Home Celebration during the coming week with six different guest preachers at afternoon and evening services on the following schedule:
Sunday, Nov. 8, 4 p.m.: Bishop Marion Hendricks of Pentecostal Church of God, Millsboro.
Tuesday, Nov. 10, 7:30 p.m.: Bishop Jamie Hazzard of Welcome Full Gospel Holiness Church, Slaughter Neck.
Wednesday, Nov. 11, 7:30 p.m.: The Rev. Isaac Ross of Miracle Revival Center, Seaford.
Thursday, Nov. 12, 7:30 p.m.: Pastor Helena bailey of Kingdom Life Family Ministries, MIllsboro.
Friday, Nov. 13, 7:30 p.m.: Pastor Sarah Cannon of Word Alive Ministry, Harrington.
Sunday, Nov. 15, 4 p.m.: The Rev. Annie Custis, St. John 2nd Baptist, Millsboro.

Fifteenth Annual Community Anti-Drug Rally, March and Fun Day to be held in Georgetown
GEORGETOWN — The Fifteenth Annual Community Anti-Drug Rally and March will be held Saturday, Aug. 15, 2009. The march will begin at 11 a.m. from the grounds of the Booker Street Church of God, located on Booker Street in Georgetown near the Richard Allen School.
The purpose of the rally and march is to send a positive message to the entire community, especially to youth, that says "yes" to life and "no" to drugs. Participants will carry signs and spread their anti-drug messages through the streets of Georgetown. The march will return to the church grounds, where Fun Day activities will be held from noon until 4 p.m. There will be games, food, a dunking booth, a moon bounce, train rides, drill teams, creative dance teams and much, much more! In addition, free T-shirts will be provided by Everlasting Hope Ministires.

Sixteenth annual tent services to be held in Georgetown
GEORGETOWN — Everlasting Hope Ministries is pleased to announce the schedule for this year’s Sixteenth Annual Tent Services. Services will begin at 7 p.m. nightly Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Saturday, Aug. 11, 12, 13 and 15; and Sunday services will be at 11:30 a.m. and 5 p.m. Aug. 16.
The purpose of these meetings is to encourage individuals whose lives have been adversely affected by drugs and/or alcohol. The guest speaker each night will present a timely message to inspire and challenge those in attendance not only to resist drugs and alcohol, but also to strive for individual excellence through a personal relationship with Christ. This year, fathers are particularly encouraged to attend. The speakers are as follows:
• Tuesday: Apostle Ivory Hopkins from Pilgrims Ministry of Deliverance, Georgetown.
• Wednesday: Tag Team duo of the Rev. Tony Neal and Minister Dolly Morris from the Booker Street Church of God.
• Thursday: Bishop Jamie Hazzard from Welcome Full Gospel Holiness Church, Slaughter Neck.
• Aug. 15: the Rev. Anthony Cannon from Dominion Church of Deliverance, Georgetown.
• Aug. 16: Morning service, Bishop Marvin L. Morris, host pastor from the Booker Street Church of God; and evening service, Pastor Arlene Taylor, from Chosen Generation Ministries, Grasonville, Md.
