The Swami Of Origami To Appear @ Greenwood VFW

On Thursday, July 9, at 3 PM, the Greenwood Library will host a special program performed by an award-winning storyteller at the Greenwood VFW Post 7478. Megan Hicks, the Origami Swami, will tell original and traditional tales for all ages while demonstrating the art of origami. This program is made possible by grants from the Institute of Museums and Library Services, the National Endowment for the Arts, and the Delaware Division of the Arts. Greenwood VFW Post 7478 is located behind the Greenwood Library, on the corner of Mill Street and Governors Avenue. For more information, call 349-5309.

Reader's Theater To Be Held @ Greenwood Library

Children who read independently and love standing out in a crowd are invited to step into the spotlight at the Greenwood Library on Friday, July 10, at 6:30 PM. Reader's Theater allows the opportunity to perform in a short play without the need of costumes or memorization. Among the skits to be performed will be: The Wizard of Oz, and The Library Dragon. Whether your place is center stage or in the audience, a good time will be had by all. The Greenwood Public Library is located next to the Greenwood Post Office in Greenwood, DE on the corner of Market and Mill Street.

Musical Monday Returns To Greenwood Library

On Monday, July 13, at 3 PM, the Greenwood Library will offer a program to music-loving children ages 6 and up.

Can-Do Robots Built At Greenwood Library

On Wednesday, July 15, at 3 PM, children are asked to bring a clean, empty can in order to make a Can-Do Robot. Transform that empty food or beverage can into an imaginative creature using magnets, nuts and bolts, felt, foam and other common materials.

Talent Showcase To Be Held at Greenwood Library

On Friday, July 17, at 6 PM, area children are encouraged to take part in Greenwood Library's first Talent Showcase. Whether you sing, play an instrument, tell jokes or act, we need you for this non-competitive talent showcase. Pre-registration is suggested as time is limited.
