Harrington Sr. Center's Annual Hoe Down

The Harrington Senior Center sponsored a Country Hoe Down Friday April 17, 2009 at the Harrington Parks & Recreation Center. Line Dancing groups from all over the state came to Harrington to show off their moves and teach others how to "boot scoot"

Harrington New Century Club

The Harrington New Century Club celebrated its 100th anniversary on April 18 at its club house in Harrington, De. A special luncheon was held, Harrington Mayor Robert E. "Gene" Price Jr. and 30th District Rep. William "Bobby" Outten spoke during the event. I apologize for the quality of this video - turn your volume up -- though poor I still wanted to share the video to commemorate the event.

Lake Forest High School (Felton, Del.) celebrated its 40th commencement ceremony Friday June 5 in the high school's auditorium. Due to poor lighting, the video isn't the best quality but the message still comes through -- Congratulations LFHS Class of 2009

Kids Fest 2009, Harrington, Del.

Kids Fest 2009 a fundraiser for the Greater Milford, Del. Boys & Girls Club took place June 13 at the Delaware State Fairgrounds. Festival goers were treated to an inflatable carnival, rides and entertianment including a dance party with Elmo.

On Tuesday, April 7, Members of Delware Bike Summit Planning committee traveled the state to raise awareness of bike safety and to promote the summit, April 24 at Delaware Technical & Community College Dover. The began there day at Seaford City Hall, then they stopped at the Harrington Public Library before heading to Milford's Bicentennial Park where they were captured on video by Gwen Guerke, editor of The Journal's sister paper The Milford Chronicle.
