LAUREL — The Laurel Historical Society presents a Bacon Switch History Program Thursday, June 11, 2009, delivered by Jay Hill of Laurel, formerly a resident of Bacon Switch. This fund-raising event at the Laurel Senior High School, 1133 S. Central Ave., includes a dinner, and costs $20. Doors open 6 p.m.; dinner served at 6:30 p.m. Call 875-2820 or 875-7665. Reservations can also be made by e-mailing laurelhistoricalsociety@hotmail.com. The deadline for reservations is Friday, June 5.
