REHOBOTH BEACH — The Cape Henlopen Senior Center at 11 Christian St. in Rehoboth Beach offers a variety of events, some one-time and some ongoing, some available to the general public and some available only to members.

A Defensive Driving Beginner Class will be held 11 a.m.-3 p.m. Tuesday, July 21, and 9 a.m.-1 p.m. Wednesday, July 22. One must attend both classes. Cost is $12 for AARP members and $14 for non-members of AARP. Open to public.

An all-you-can-eat breakfast 8:30-11 a.m. Thursday, July 23, will feature pancakes, scrambled eggs, sausage, bacon, orange juice and coffee, at a cost of $6 for adults and $3 for children under 10. Open to public.

Walk Aerobic half-hour workout is free to all center members, 8-8:30 a.m.-daily.

REHOBOTH BEACH — Cape Henlopen Senior Center, at 11 Christian St. in Rehoboth Beach, is offering a Refresher Defensive Driving Course on Tuesday, July 7, and several ongoing courses and a hobby-interest group.

The Defensive Driving Course will be 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Tuesday and is offered to all, at a charge of $12 for members of AARP and $14 for non-members of AARP. As class size is limited, signing up right away by calling 227-2055 is recommended.

The following three classes and one interest group are ongoing. Except for the music lessons, attendance at all of them is limited to members of the Cape Henlopen Senior Center.

• Total fitness taught by Joan Martin, held 9-10 a.m. every Wednesday in the center. Cost is $5 per session.

• Beginning and intermediate tap-dance classes, held 9:05-10:05 a.m. on Tuesdays and Thursdays at the center.

• Cape Henlopen Senior Center Woodcarvers meet 8-11 a.m. on Tuesdays and Thursdays, and are looking for more carvers to join their group.

• Piano and guitar lessons are offered 11 a.m.-2:30 p.m. Mondays and 11 a.m.-1:30 p.m. Each lesson is a half-hour session at a cost of $17.50 per person.
