I'd like to go ahead and say that setting up a Flickr site dedicated only to local photos is genius.

Whoever came up with that idea better have a really nice pen or watch on their desk right now.

Keep it up.

The Anastasini Circus is in town. On Thursday morning, local children were invited to stop by and feed the elephants "pizza" courtesy of Domino's. The pizza was made with a special vegetarian recipe provided by the circus. Dozens of local kids stopped by to get up close and personal with the elephants.

The circus is off State Road 70 near city hall, in the field by the American Legion. Shows are Friday at 7:30 p.m., Saturday at 4 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. and Sunday at 2 and 6 p.m.

The show jumping continues Sunday, starting at 10 a.m. with competition both in the indoor arena and the outdoor Grand Prix ring. There is no charge for spectator admission. Next week, the competition will continue on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. More horses are expected next week, as this weekend there was another big competition in Atlanta.

Show Jumping at the Agri-Civic Center started Thursday. The event continues this weekend and again next weekend. The event is free to spectators and open to the public. There are shows in the covered arena and also at an outdoor course. You may want to bring a folding chair if you want to watch the outdoor course.
