Calligraphy and Christmas
GREENSBORO, Md. – A special two-hour calligraphy class will be conducted at the Greensborough Trading Co., 105 S. Main St., Greensboro, Md., for four Wednesday sessions, noon-2 p.m., beginning Nov. 11. Art Bounds, local calligrapher with more than 20 years of experience, will lead theclass in a special hand, Chancery Cursive, and put that hand to use for Christmas envelopes, Christmas greetings or that special saying or poem appropriate for gift-giving.Pen and ink supplies, if needed, may be purchased from the instructor.

Celtic-hand calligraphy class offered
GREENSBORO, Md. – A calligraphy class will be conducted at the Greensborough Trading Co., 105 S. Main St., Greensboro, Md., for five Wednesday sessions, noon-1:30 p.m., beginning Wednesday, Sept. 23. The topic will be Celtic lettering. This easy-to-learn hand and its popular uses will be conducted by Art Bounds, local calligrapher with more than 20 years of experience.
Numerous handouts will be provided. Pen and ink supplies, if needed, may be purchased from the instructor. Cost for the five Wednesday classes is $50. For additional information or to register, call Barbara Mutolo at 410-482-2200. Class size will be limited.

The topic will be Black Gothic lettering, an easy-to-learn and useful-to-know hand, especially with the upcoming holidays.
Art Bounds, local calligrapher with more than 20 years of experience, will conduct the class with step-by-step instruction. The Black Gothic hand will be most useful for favorite sayings, biblical quotes as well as greeting-card envelopes, and August would be an ideal time to learn this unique hand.
Pen and ink supplies, if needed, may be purchased from the instructor. For additional information or to register, call Barbara Mutolo at 410-482-2200. Class size will be limited.
