Erin McDermott of Easton and rising senior at St. Mary’s College of Maryland prepares a ‘Cans for Habitat’ collection box as a summer intern with Habitat for Humanity of Talbot and Dorchester Counties. McDermott is one of thirty Maryland students, and the only one on the Eastern Shore, participating in the 2009 Walter Sondheim Jr. Maryland Nonprofit Leaders Internship Program.
