Pulses of highly concentrated laser light from the Q-YAG 5 pass harmlessly through the outer layer of the skin and are absorbed by the pigment in tattoo inks. The light is converted into heat, which breaks the ink into tiny particles. The body's lymphatic system carries away the residual ink particles, causing the tattoo to fade or disappear completely.
The Q-YAG 5 system uses dual wavelengths for multiple ink colors and three spot sizes for versatile treatments. Its flat beam profile distributes energy evenly, for more consistent and effective treatments.
Knall also incorporates the Cryo-6 chilling system, which chills and numbs the skin, making treatments much more comfortable. “Clients like the fact that treatments take only a few minutes and they can return to work, play or do whatever immediately following treatment,” Knall said.
