| I sent John Hughes a draft copy, and then, according to Sen. Bonini's office, they sent a copy of their letter to Secetary Hughes...I have received a response and am awaiting a returnto my phone call on Wednesday

| It's going on up and down the east coast. The money for beach replenishment has been taken to support the war. Where we moved from (MA) there are 6 houses in immediate danger of falling into the ocean because of the severe erosion, to bad so sad is all the people keep hearing. The channel is so narrow and filled in with sediment in the Merrimack River that the charter boats are aground at their moorings at low tide. This is the sand that belongs on the beach front.

| We have been now told that the beach nourishment will not take place until 2009-2010. This is the third time we have been pushed back. The attached letter was sent to Rep. Walls, Sen. Bonini, and Gov. Minner....make your voice heard! Apathy is not a solution!!!!! Sen. Bonini is the only one to respond thus far. Attachment: Walls.pdf (Downloaded 16 times)

| A meeting has been set up with a consultant hired by DNREC to get feedback from the residents of Bowers regarding the pending beach nourishment project. Beach nourishment is an inportant part of the Town Flood Mitigation Plan so all are encouraged to attend....October 25, 2008 at 8:00 AM at the fire hall...more details to follow...
