NBA SEEKING PHOENIX VOLUNTEERS
FOR NBA ALL-STAR JAM SESSION PRESENTED BY ADIDAS
NEW YORK, NY – Oct. 15, 2008 – NBA All-Star Jam Session presented by adidas is making its second appearance in Phoenix, and fans have the opportunity to play an important role in the All-Star excitement by becoming a Jam Session MVP Volunteer. Jam Session is a five-day interactive basketball event that gives fans the best way to experience NBA All-Star 2009.
The NBA is recruiting 2,000 energetic and dedicated people to join the 2009 NBA All-Star Jam Session MVP Volunteer Team. Volunteers should have a passion for the game and the desire to make Jam Session come alive for fans. As a Jam Session MVP, volunteers have the opportunity to work with fans of all ages, serving as a basketball ambassador to help them create memories and have the basketball time of their lives.
Requirements for volunteers:
- Must be available February 11th through 16th
- Must be available to volunteer for at least two consecutive days for one 4-hour shift
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Must be energetic, responsible and have a positive attitude
NBA All-Star Jam Session is non-stop basketball action, where fans can shoot, slam, dribble and drive all day, compete against their friends in skills challenges, get free autographs or get basketball tips from their favorite players and Legends. Young fans can hang out at the Kids Zone – with hoops and interactive activities that are the perfect size for kids’ slam dunks, three-pointers and jump shots. For fans who want NBA entertainment, Jam Session features the NBA’s favorite players, celebrities, mascots and dance teams as they hit Center Court in a variety of basketball competitions, including the McDonald’s NBA All-Star Celebrity Game and the NBA All-Star Practice.
