The Rec Centers and PORA are SHARING the expense of CC&R's - it is NOT a Rec Center based group. PORA will be doing the work.

CURRENTLY YOU CAN REPORT THE VIOLATIONS TO PORA .  PORA HAS A GROUP OF VOLUNTEER INVESTIGATORS WHO INSPECT THESE THINGS AND, IF THEY ARE BAD, WILL PURSUE GETTING THEM CORRECTED.

IF WE GET A NEW REC CENTER BASED ENFORCEMENT DEPARTMENT I WOULD HOPE THAT THEY WILL USE VOLUNTEERS TO STAFF IT RATHER THAN ADDING MORE EMPLOYEES. THE EXISTING PROGRAM WOULD HAVE WORKED FINE WITH THE VOLUNTEERS IF PORA HAD ANY AUTHORITY TO ENFORCE CC&Rs.

We have a trailer a couple blocks away that has been there for weeks, now. It has an extension cord from a house, a hose from the house and even cable hooked ........ Hope this isn't going to be the wave of the future.....
By law, the Sheriff can't do a thing, so unless we have the CC&R's people to investigate these things, we can very soon look like a trailer park......
I have heard a complaint has been made about this property. Hopefully something can be done soon.

I disagree with detractors who say we don't need a CC&R enforcement unit in SCW. We all see many RV's parked all over SCW with most violating the 72 hr rule. I am sure that most residents are the kind of people who do not wish to report their neighbors. With this in mind an enforcement program will not work efficiently under a written complaint based system. The enforcement dept will be manned well enough for inspectors to go around SCW neighborhoods and find violators since residents don't want to report people. It won't take long for the inspectors to "write up" many residents for example for yard care violations including weeds etc. and ticket RV's which have been parked too long. Hopefully these inspectors will eventually get the authority to stop the people who attach all these flyers to our front doors.
