If they are not successful in the recall, the board should reinstate and enforce their original closed campus policy. No Parental Permission!

areyoukidding me, this has to be the funniest thing you've ever written.  You and intelligence in the same sentence? You have missed your calling.

HMMM This was interesting....I never thought about this..

If you’re unable to back up your words with enough valid signatures, or win the election, you pretty much give the person you’re aiming at the right to claim they have the community’s support. And, after winning two elections, they can more than make the case that they do.

Perhaps, Joe, you need a consultant. An outsider like myself who can take a fresh look at what you're doing right and what you're doing wrong.....
  1. Don't let Kiddie-Kiddie speak anymore at the board meetings. Where it was initially great for these kids to be speaking, Kiddie-Kiddie now is coming off as a petulant, spoiled child.
I'll will get back to you as I see more. No charge. Your lecture about giving something back went straight to my heart...

According to Ms. Olguin, those involved have until 5 p.m. Wednesday, April 9 to file the 9,072 signatures needed to call for a recall of Ms. Knecht.

So, as a public service to Joe and Kiddie-Kiddie, I will do some more precise calculations of the task at hand.

48 days of the 120 days have passed which I believe is exactly 40% of the time has passed, leaving only 60% of the time remaining to collect approximately 92% of the signatures.

RUKidding.....your right...we should just all give up. OK, I'm done!!! (I am being sarcastic, just in case you thought I wasn't)

Your question about what the incentive is for high schools seniors proves my point that you do not think about anyone but yourself. Regardless of others and the (negative) impact you have on them, you just don't care for anyone but yourself and your family.

I don't know if you are capable of grasping this concept....but I will give it a try:

The incentive is to help those that need it, whether they are your younger classmates, friends, or siblings, even strangers. The incentive is to leave something better than you found it.

For if everyone had the short sighted attitude of "what's in it for me"....only doing something for their own benefit, and not the benefit of others....we wouldn't be teaching the future citizens how to be a good citizen....would we? Joe Bernier

But to answer your question about how many days...I don't know exactly (while I sit here typing)....I think we have until mid April to turn in the paperwork. There are quite a few people out gathering signatures, each in their own way....from my conversations with them, we currently have approx. 1,000 signatures so far.....so 10% of our goal. As the students get more organized....their success will become more attainable. Joe Bernier

So, let me do the math here, of the 16 weeks to obtain the signatures, approximately 6 are gone or about 37% of the time. You have about 1,000 of the signatures of the about 12,000 needed (if you think 9 out of 10 are going to be good, you will be mistaken), So, let's say you have about 8% of the signatures with 37% of the time gone. I can see why there appears to be some diminished glee over this recall.

Tick, Tick, Tick....

Let me ask you Joe. What incentive is there now for a high school senior to help your cause other than kids like Kiddie-Kiddie? They aren't seeing open campuses and aren't they starting to think about life outside of a high school and who really cares about lunch in the cafeteria anymore?

Perhaps you need to manufacture another daughter incident to get the folks stirred up again...

Sometimes I just don't have anything constructive to say, so I refrain from posting. Other times you are simply asking the same questions, an ignoring the logical answers, that you have already asked months ago. And then other times you ask questions that I don't yet have the answers to.

Kiddie is right when he states the students have just started to form alliances to try and get this done. Believe it or not....because of all their sports and other activities, they have each been independent of each other so far in their efforts.

The logical answers as they pertain to you!

Preston and Joe

Maybe you could give us an update. How many days since Joe signed the paperwork and how many signatures do we have in our search for vengeance?

I'm sure that is reassuring to all those people who have put all the time and effort to create havoc in the district to know that you think so Kiddie-Kiddie....just think, it could actually prove to prop up the taco queen, now wouldn't  that be your favorite word,Kiddie-Kiddie, everybody together,  IRONIC. Suddenly Kiddie-Kiddie is not going to be such a welcome novelty act with his speeches at each board meeting.

I was the one who helped the stu. co. treasurer make her posters, actually. I'm just basing this off the coverage of all the recalls I've ever seen, most recently, the Vicki Hunt recall. I think it's safe to say that this one has already been going a lot smoother than that one.

Have you ever paid attention to a recall? They take time to sort out and get on a roll, in every case, no matter how much people are in support of them.

I would wait a bit longer to claim that it isn't going well, it's still in the early stages. And for the record, I currently have nothing to do with it.

It's very interesting there has been nothing from Preston and very little from Joe. Just wondering if the support for this has been only lukewarm at best and they are starting to wonder.....

Monster?  Hardly. Recalls are set up to fail, including the time period it takes to collect signitures. If they had the same time period in which to work as candidates do in a regular election, 9,000 signitures would be a breeze.
