You mean this one, rukm?:
Well, Adam, unfortunately after some consideration I decided that I cannot help you run for office. Thus my no-show at your event. I'm beginning to get the feeling that you are not all that interested in education. Rather, I believe this is just one step to help yourself in the world of business or what ever your ambitions may be.
I would expect a good candidate for the school board to be someone who has a personal interest in the job because they want what is best for the students; not for themselves. The person for this job should also be interested enough in education to continue in their own academics as well. A high school diploma is fantastic. It's a great first step. However, unfortunately, it will not get you much more than a job at Walmart. You certainly will not evolve in a business or political career without a degree.
If you showed a love for learning, enough to continue and go on to college, then I might have considered you for the position. Instead, you concentrate on advancing a political agenda that includes attending FBLA meetings out of state. You have shown no interest in attending college.
As for the nice xeriscape outside of the Glendale library--Thank you, I know it well. I, along with several other volunteers and biology students at GCC, planted most of the eastern and southern sections several years ago.

What does this have to do with parenting?
This is a strange message board.

For once, I didn't receive the nasty email. I must be cleaning up my act, huh BIG?
I remind others to heed our pledge (#4). It is like gospel to me now:
Public Forum Member’s Pledge
As a Member of the newszap.com forums, I will:
1. Share comments about public issues, and not engage in personal attacks, threats, online bullying or commercial spam.
2. Keep my comments within the bounds of fair play and civility. (I can disagree with others in a courteous manner, without being disagreeable about it.)
3. Express my own opinions but keep an open mind to find value in what others have to say.
4. Uphold the forum’s standards by encouraging others to raise the level of discourse,, and by alerting webmaster@newszap.com of postings that violate this pledge.

From the webmaster: Based on a report from a forum member, we have deleted a topic that violated our guidelines. Click here to read our Policies & Disclaimers.
We believe that the public forum gives everyone a chance to express their opinions on local issues. If citizens disagree, we expect them to disagree without being disagreeable.
Each registered member has agreed to keep his or her comments within the bounds of fair play. Controversial opinions are acceptable, but personal attacks on private individuals, name-calling and profanity are not welcome here.
We hope individuals will speak to issues and not engage in personal attacks or “bullying” of other members. If the latter occurs and a complaint is sent to webmaster@newszap.com, members may have their registrations immediately withdrawn and be asked to seek out a different website to express themselves. (In each case, please identify the forum, the topic and the time and date of the posting that you feel violate the guidelines.)
While this action might be considered drastic, we believe the step is necessary to preserve our “free speech with civility” mission.
