I must be quite a threat for you to reach back to 2006 for a ridicules article written by a newspaper editor who's sore over his wife losing a city council election due to my spliting the vote. All that time and effort. Why?

I guess you forgot when Doglas Coleman  Coleman lost against fisher in 2000 . He had to use the City Attoeney Joel Stern to save his career and State pension. With a re-count . Oh I forgot re-tabulation with a lost notice of appeal in superior court. hmmmm!

I ran in 2004 ,that is true never put a sign up or shook a hand! There is no conspiricy just a Pinal County establishment attempting to smear a viable hardworking citizen!

Joe Severs is nobody to trust . He asked me not to bring up problems in Apache Junction before he was elected. He is very dangerous!

The accident- I was insured ,and apoligized for my poor driving . If the AJ NEWS wants to create something over it -it just shows how desperate they are to silence a 15 year citizen effort to clean up Pinal County!

APACHE JUNCTION- Former mayoral and city council candidate Elliott Fisher, 42, is threatening to sue the City of Apache Junction for Malicious Prosecution following his arrest on Friday, July 21, 2006 on charges of failure to appear, criminal trespass and harassment.
A warrant was issued for Fishers arrest on April 14, 2006 after he failed to appear in Apache Junction Justice Court on charges filed by the City of Apache Junction for failing to obtain a business license on rental property and failure to pay city tax on rent collected on a home in the 500 block of E. Quail Drive.
Fisher, a traveling nurse, reportedly obtained permission to make a telephone appearance in the matter. An arrest warrant was issued when he failed to make the pre-arranged phone call. Fisher says he was working in Florida at the time and although he tried to make the call, he was unable to make the connection from his cell phone.

Election Results from 2004

Pinal County

Tuesday was a day for incumbency in the races for Pinal County offices.

The only sitting office holder for countywide positions who will be leaving is County Supervisor Jimmie Kerr of Casa Grande, and that only because he decided not to run.

With 55.6 percent of the vote, Democrat David Snider, who had Kerr's support, will be the new District 3 supervisor, representing western Pinal County including Casa Grande and Maricopa.

Snider earned 8,385 votes in the unofficial count. Bill Bridwell, the Republican candidate, garnered 44.2 percent or 6,668 votes.

"The whole race was a true life experience," Bridwell said. "I've developed new friendships across the county that will last for a lifetime. That was my victory."

Bridwell said he still disagrees with many of the decisions of the supervisors. "I hope they don't take it personally."

"I was a first-time candidate, but not a last-time candidate," he said.

Snider could not be reached for comment.

Incumbent Democratic county supervisors Lionel Ruiz of Mammoth and Sandie Smith of Gold Canyon cruised to victory. Ruiz had 58.7 percent or 10,369 votes and his challenger, Republican Web Parton, had 41.3 percent (7,292 votes). Smith had 55 percent (13,235 votes) and her main challenger, Republican Todd House had 41 percent (9,881 votes). Also in that race, Independent candidate Elliott Fisher earned 3.9 percent (941 votes).

Elliot - just go away.  Apache Junction doesn't want you, and we sure as heck don't need you trying to be in charge of all of Pinal County.

A.J. political gadfly runs afoul with law
Art Martori, Tribune

After four failed mayoral campaigns, and countless initiative drives, Elliott Fisher crashed back into the public eye last week. Apache Junction police nabbed the 42-year-old gadfly on July 21 after an altercation with a woman house-sitting for him and a car crash in which he collided with a motorcycle.

Fisher, a nurse and longtime political activist, was arrested on suspicion of making harassing phone calls, trespassing and for an outstanding warrant for failing to appear in court.

Fisher’s legal entanglement began when he went to visit Krysta Agerone, an Apache Junction woman, to confront her about money she owed him and to tell her to clean up the home where she was staying, which belongs to Fisher’s sister.

Agerone told police that Fisher harassed her over the phone, came to the residence and then forced his way in while swearing and screaming at her.

When Fisher saw that Agerone had called police, he took off in a 1980 Chevrolet pickup, according to police reports. About 30 minutes later, witnesses said they saw Fisher turn left into a motorcycle driven by Troy Dickerson, also of Apache Junction.

Two witnesses told police that Fisher struck Dickerson’s Harley-Davidson, and one of them noted that Dickerson “flew about 6 feet in the air, landing on his hand and head.” Dickerson was taken to the hospital for leg pain, but was later released.

The warrant for Fisher’s arrest was issued because he missed a court date in April over allegations that he had rented rooms without a business license. He claimed many people rent rooms without a license and accused the city of picking on him.

Fisher admitted the dispute with Agerone and that he was involved in the vehicle crash, but said the criminal charges are part of a larger conspiracy against him. He said the city is retaliating against him because of his outspoken criticism of government.

“I’m a political problem for them, and there’s an election coming,” he said. “They’re trying to get me out of the way.”

Fisher has campaigned for various city and county government offices. He lost a bid for mayor in 2004 to Doug Coleman. Later that year, he received only 4 percent of the vote when he ran for Pinal County supervisor.

Nonetheless, he’s been a regular at City Council meetings for years.

“Apache Junction and I have a long history,” he said.

Part of the problem, Fisher claims, is that one of the witnesses to his pickupmotorcycle collision was City Councilman Joseph Severs. Fisher said he thinks Severs is part of the conspiracy against him.

But Severs, who said he was riding a motorcycle behind Dickerson when the collision occurred, said he wished he hadn’t witnessed the crash — and now he’d probably get sued over it.

“I find it really strange that anything that happens to him is a conspiracy,” Severs said. “I just witnessed an accident. Being part of a conspiracy is absolutely absurd.”

Fears of a lawsuit might be well-founded. The Apache Junction City Attorney’s Office estimated last year that the spate of lawsuits Fisher has filed over the years has cost Apache Junction nearly $70,000.

Fisher says filing lawsuits is the only way he can fight back.

“They know all about me,” he said. “They’re playing dumb and selectively enforcing the law.”

Yes Mr. Fisher.  Tell us who you are first, before any support is given to your cause.  Your profile states nothing, including your email address, which you chose to remain silent on.

Thank you.

Fisher2008 - you popped onto this board a few days ago, have five posts under your belt and haven't said word 1 about who YOU are.  if you want people to email you to help you obtain signatures for a ballot run... perhaps you should show people a website describing yourself and your platform.  tell the people who you are, why you are running... just at least some very basic info.

what is your background ?  you mention previous runs for public office, but to be honest, i don't think you have even posted your full name for others to be able to do some basic research.
