You are right Starleen.  Maybe if it is none of the other 2 situations I mentioned, we should just treat this guy like you would a crazy guy ranting on a street corner.  Just stare straight ahead, do not make eye contact, and get on with your day as quickly as possible.

And hey, maybe we should cut gk some slack too.  There are depths that he has never come close to falling into.

Fellow newszapers, take a look at this situation.  This is clearly one of 2 possibilities.

I see a third option; and I don't say this lightly: mental disorder. "Guy" was just plain mean, gk is - uh - passionist about his beliefs, but this guy seems quite disturbed and confused about reality. Maybe we should not push his buttons anymore and just ignore him.

1.  Somebody is making up a fake name and saying he is running for supervisor just to get people here riled up.  No incorporation talk lately, so we need to get something exciting to do with our lives.

2.  There is actually somebody named "Elliot Fisher" who may be considering a run for supervisor.  But in order to poison the waters, someone else (a vicious enemy) is logging on to a public message board and acting like a complete lunatic under the name "Fisher2008" just to get people mad at the real "Elliot Fisher".

Come on, no real person who is actually serious about running for office would come on to a lightly read message board and act like this.

Am I right?

Just proves real life is stranger than fiction sometimes.

Ted,

I think this guy is for real.  He kind of reminds me of Ron Paul but with a stint in jail.  I don't know all of the details about this cat but can say that he could not be an effective leader if he can't get anybody to follow him.  that is the problem that people have when they burn all their bridges behind them.

It may just be me but I don't see you as having the moral fiber to win a political campaign.

Instead of subtitling this thread "Courage and Committment", maybe you should have gone for "Courage and CONVICTION".

Don't you have something better to do than to try to come on and be our lastest fiasco.  We have had enough nonsense in this county, we sure aren't going to add on to it by electing you.

Dear QC

I have never considered anything in Arizona a downhill situation. The corruption ,and breathtaking yellow journalism are notorious. I will still be around win, or lose fighting for reform. The Apache Junction News can twist it all they want ,but people in Pinal know better.  You may ask why? I have been at their homes for years, I am not God nor am I perfect ,but I know them!
