| The schools need to learn how to do with less- like everyone else is now. Remember when MCC was being investigated? Can't remember the details but it looks like someone should look into all of our schools and make sure the money is spent correctly. I wonder how the investors with more than one property will be able to afford higher taxes. Last edited on Fri Nov 7th, 2008 05:58 pm by azsunshine

Looks like this passed I'm all for education but the timing is really bad. $98.98M
These bonds are going to pay 12% interest over 20 years. Many investors will buy them up quickly.....that's one way of looking at it. The payback will be over 20 years. Education is needed to compete. All these schools will also create jobs, both in building them, maintaining them and in staffing them. Win Win.

That's after last week's AJ Independent finally dried out after a tearful Guest Commentary by a victim of photo-radar and of biased reporting by AJ News. Ya' just can't report about anything about anyone anymore. The papers will get to the CAC president story right after they (never) finish with Wall Street company heads.

| Makes you wonder what happened to good investigative reporters. This info should be all over the papers but you don't see a hint of it! Guess they don't want to lose those advertising dollars from CAC. What a shame they have to be so careful whose dirty laundry they can expose and whose they must hide.

Hate to turn this a little toward politics, but I-Want-To-Be Sheriff Babeu's campaign manager is working in public relations for CAC and the two of them want to end corruption in Pinal County. We are told all of it is in the Sheriff's Office; how can there be any at CAC? We know who to ask but they aren't talking.

He is following the same path as our Congress and Senate. He is gathering all of the money that he can for himself and pi** on the rest of the County. His greed lust for money is clearly present and any claims that he makes that it is for the CAC is just plain lies.
He paints a pretty picture , but if you look closer he does it with bull****

I read the article regarding the CAC bond issue with great interest. It all sounds fine and good but people of Pinal County better wake up! We're in an economic crisis and these people are holding out their hands for more money! Oh sure they SAY it's for buildings and expansions but take a closer look at who you are giving your hard earned money.
The President of CAC, Dennis Jenkins was a lowly financial officer before his meteoric rise to power. The job of president paid $100,000 at the time. Now, just one year later he is the HIGHEST paid Community College president in the UNITED STATES at $275,000. That is just $25,000 below the president of NAU which has hundreds of times more students and faculty!
And if that's not enough to make you sick, CAC has finanaced trips to Hawaii for this president and his WIFE! And bought 12 new computer systems for his wife's pre-school. This president has more deans then you can count, driving to a different campus every day so they won't have a clue what is actually going on anywhere. Hey isn't there an energy crisis? Who's tax dollars are paying for these tens of thousands of miles each month. The list of financial impropriety goes on and on if anyone would take the time to look.
Sure they say the bond is for buildings, but its just Mr. Jenkins building himself an empire and playing fast and loose with YOUR money. Can we really trust Mr. Jenkins to do the right thing with our money? The answer is NO!
