All the while, Wall Street gets our/their money; puts aside millions for future bonus's for their employees; go on pheasant hunts in England; Continue to pay themselves great sums, while the little businessman starves. Just not right. Hurry up Obama and do your analysis of what is working and what isn't and who should get the money; when and how. We, the little business guy, the mom and popper, can't wait much longer.
Did you ask these struggling small business owners what they thought about Obama's tax increase plans? Or requiring health insurance for all their employees? Or the coming big minimum wage increases? Or how they expect skyrocketing energy costs to impact them due to Obama's no coal, no drilling, no nuclear policies?
I bet these struggling small businesses are not big Obama fans and not as confident that you that he will save them.
Good questions nunya. These business's were small mom and pops that don't make over $250k. They are not concerned about all those issues. They are concerned that no revenue is coming in to keep their business's open. Some have only themselves as employees. Some have family members. Some have a couple of employees, but not required to offer these items you mention.
Obama fans? Yes. All of them. They are the middleclass with small business's making under $250k. Most small mom and pop business's don't make that kind of money.....beauty shops; barbers; pool supply; cafe's;nail shops;mechanic shops;real estate agents;rental shops;print shops;mortgage brokers;surveyors;well drillers;crop growers;seamstress;bars;on and on. None of these are Franchises like Burger King or Subway and the like, which can make $250k easily. These are still considered small business under the SBA Act, which is determined on gross annual receipts or # of employees, according to size standards in that industry

And yes, they all voted for Obama...They saw Bush as favoring the "big" business's and ignoring them..the mom and pops.......now they are waiting for Obama to solve this problem of being out of balance. They can't wait till Jan.

I was at a few retail business's today purchasing items and chatting as I do. First place was a place that has been in business for a very long time in the Q.C. area. Local people. They are almost ready to close their doors. Question: How much worse can it get? They say it can't get any worse.
Another business....food. No one was there at breakfast. They have been out here longer then me. Don't know how much longer they can hold out.
Other small mom and pop retail stores have already closed up recently, besides the business's in Copper Basin.
Big Guys? Walmart in Q.C.? Hardly any business. Besides, they state more people shop at the Walmart in the San Tans, than at their site. About twice as many.
Circuit City: Closed.
I decided to keep asking as I made my rounds. Same story. All are barely able to keep their doors open. Very depressed and see no end.
