They tagged my wall last week in daylight... I was at a play.
This won't stop them.

Most likely not.
Drive down Rittenhouse and you don't have enough fingers to count the graffiti hits...
Much of it is MONTHS old...Last edited on Sun May 4th, 2008 10:50 pm by

Q.C. shortens time for graffiti removal
Owners of tagged property now have a week to clean up

Queen Creek residents, if you’ve been hit by graffiti, you have one week to get rid of it.
The Town Council unanimously approved an amendment earlier this week to decrease the amount of time that owners have to remove graffiti from private property.
Town workers used to have to wait 30 days to remove the markings.
But officials and residents felt that was too long as graffiti damages property and can be used by gangs to communicate and mark their territory.
If private property owners fail to get rid of the markings, the town can come in and charge the owners for the removal.
While the new ordinance clamps down on the amount of time that residents have to remove graffiti, officials said it’s not intended to punish people who are unable to respond in a week.
To aid residents, officials are working to compile a list of information and contractors for people to call if they are hit by graffiti.
The shorter period puts Queen Creek in line with most other cities and towns. In some places, the waiting time is as short as five days.
On public property, the town’s policy is to remove graffiti the same day it’s reported.
Officials said that studies show that the quicker graffiti is removed the less likely it is to return.
Officials began considering a shorter time for the town to move in and remove graffiti on private property earlier this year when incidents reached an all-time high.
In recent years, the town had fewer than five graffiti cases per year on average. But last summer, the town began to see more, with incidents spiking from November through January. During those three months, there were more than 20 graffiti incidents investigated by the Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies made several graffiti-related arrests in the beginning of this year.
However, officials conceded that didn’t have much of an impact, and the sheriff’s office was exploring ways to harness the outbreak.
Among the tactics, the department increased patrols and assigned detectives to the cases.
The town is also considering electronic and personal surveillance for commonly targeted areas.
Lately, town officials said, the frequency of graffiti has eased a bit.
