Well for starters I do not have any lawn to water or any plants for that matter with exception to landscaping at front.
I checked all my faucets - nothing appears to be leaking.
I do not own a personal vehicle, so I do not wash cars at home. I do have a company vehicle, but we wash our cars at the fleet car wash.
Typically I am home about 10 hours a day, mainly at night. I work long hours and my communte to and from work is about 2 hrs a day, thus, lessening my time at work. For the most part I am home only Friday night - Sunday.
I cannot seem to pinpoint the problem. I did email Ramona, but have yet to receive a reply. I called QC Water and have a tech coming out to run a test to see if the meter is wrong.
Thank you all for your responses.... I will keep you updated.

Farinsquare,
The sewer rates that went into effect for March were based on 90% of your average usage of December, January, and February. If you had an unusual event (i.e. filling a pool) or believe there was some mistake, you can contact Ramona Simpson at the town (480)358-3831. I have always found her to be helpful and knowledgeable and this is one of her projects. Good Luck.

Fairnsquare,
What should really upset you is that most of your water usage is for landscaping. You probably send less than half of what your water meter says you use that month down a drain.

yes, please keep us posted. the numbers from the bill that you are quoting are indicative of some sort of mistake. the increase the Town had been talking about is MUCH LESS.
they calculated a typical residence using 10,000 gallons of water per month would see an increase from the current QCWaterCompany rate of $23.70 to $29.00

I am utterly upset! Very upset!
Has anyone other than myself received an OUTRAGEOUS sewer charge on their monthly water bill?
Does anyone have any idea what is going on? I used to pay less than $30 a month... for some reason mine was HIKED up to $126 !!!!!!
Tell me, how is it reasonable that my sewer fee is 2 1/2 times more than the cost of the water I used in the whole month?
I find that ridiculous for a family of one adult & 2 small children.... not to mention that I am only home for about 10 hours in the whole day!
Let us know what the water company says after you talk with them. That sounds like a mistake.
