Queen Creek residents are invited to Get on the Road to Safety! A fun and free vehicle safety fair to celebrate the completion of the Ellsworth Loop Road will be held Saturday, Oct. 4 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Queen Creek Marketplace on the southwest corner of Rittenhouse and Ellsworth Loop roads. The Town of Queen Creek, Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office and Queen Creek Marketplace are sponsoring the event.
Activities include:
• Car extrication demo by Queen Creek Fire Department
• Car fire demo by Queen Creek Fire Department
• Antique and collectible car show (9 a.m. to 2 p.m.)
• Public Safety vehicles (antique police cars, antique fire trucks, air-evac helicopter, Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office vehicles)
• Heavy road equipment (street sweeper, road grader, bucket truck)
• Infant car seat checks
• Food samples from Queen Creek Marketplace restaurants
• Displays by Queen Creek Marketplace tenants and Town of Queen Creek
The car show is a no-host event and there are no entry fees. The first 200 cars to check in will receive event goodie bags filled with gifts. The car show runs from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. with a “Manager’s Choice” award to be presented by the Marketplace Manager at 1 p.m.
